Beth & Chris’s Wedding – St Peter’s Church Dunchurch, Warwickshire.

Beth & Chris’s Wedding – St Peter’s Church Dunchurch, Warwickshire.

Beth & Chris had chosen to get married in St Peter’s Church Dunchurch, Warwickshire followed by a reception in the beautiful settings of Beth’s Parent’s Home.

I had met with Beth & Chris a few weeks before their wedding to chat through what photographs they would like and what was most important to them, for me to capture.

As well as the traditional images and groups Beth & Chris really liked the more candid reportage style photos & so I suggested that I would bring one of my second photographers, Gemma to capture some additional images.  The suggestion of photographing the hard hats also cropped up & it’ll become clear as to why this was relevant!

The day of their wedding arrived & the weather was near perfect, always a good start 🙂

After spending the morning at the family home, with Beth & her family, where they we enjoying getting ready we then made our way to St Peter’s Church.

St Peter’s is a 14th century ‘usually’ picturesque church situated in the central square in Duchurch, however, for Beth & Chris’s wedding we had already been pre warned that St Peter’s was undergoing much needed major work on the tower & walls.  This had required the entire tower to be covered in scaffolding & sheet corrugated iron !  Fab for the church, not so great for wedding photographs! Beth & Chris had decided to embrace the ‘new look’ of the church rather than moan about the unfortunate backdrop & had even had two builder’s hard hats decorated by a friend, for the occasion.

After a lovely Church service & photos around the grounds … incorporating the hard hats! we made our way back to Beth’s family home , in Dunchurch, to carry on the celebrations. After capturing all of the group images Beth & Chris had requested we then got to spend some time around the grounds of their family farm home capturing posed & more natural shots of Beth & Chris. We maximised on the wonderful weather & fantastic props around the grounds including bales of hay & a great big red tractor :-).

The wedding reception was held in a superbly decorated marquee at the bottom of their garden.

I was lucky enough to enjoy a superb meal & the most amazing dessert (well it would have been rude to refuse!) before photographing the speeches.

Below are just a few of the images captured at Beth & Chris’s wedding.

If you or someone you know is getting married in and around Warwickshire (or even further afield!) & would like to chat about having your wedding photographed by a professional photographer please do not hesitate to call or email.

I’ll look forward to hearing from you x

Why my blog has been missing out !

Over the last year as well as continuing with my Wedding and Corporate photography Stuart & I have added a new little addition to our clan.

Our beautiful daughter Livy was born last Feb & of course I’ve taken every opportunity to take photos of her to reminisce over (or to embarrass her no doubt 🙂 ) when she is older. Livy, since the day she was born, has been the happiest smiliest baby one could wish for … long may it continue.

Here are a few of my favourite pictures of Livy and the reason why my poor old blog has been neglected for the last year!😊

Victoria Jane Photography -A short preview of my wedding photography

Wow were has the time gone? My poor old blog has been rather neglected over the last year … although for a good reason 🙂 I decided to take a little less work on so I could play Mummy a little bit more to our new beautiful daughter Livy, who has just turned 1 !

Were to start ? I have so many fabulous weddings to add and some really exciting corporate jobs I’ve had the honour to photograph over the last year. But Rome wasn’t built in a day and so rather than try rushing to post everything I thought Id have a look back over the last year or so and design a little video showing some of my favourite wedding photographs.

Being a professional Wedding photographer is such a wonderful privilege.  Not only do I get to be part of your special day (& maybe even eat a slice of cake!) but I get to create memories for you that will last a life time… precious memories that you’ll be able to look back on in years to come and smile, and maybe even shed a tear, reminiscing about your amazing day. And I have been lucky enough to have been allowed to create those irreplaceable memories, frozen in time, for hundreds and hundreds of lovely couples.

So how can I choose my favourite images as I must have an archive of 100’s of thousands of images.  Well the honest answer is I couldn’t, as I have too many :-),  so instead I chose a handful of images which hopefully captures who I am a photographer and give you an idea about how passionate I am about what I can do for you. What ever your preferred style, relaxed reportage photography, more classic photography or even unique contemporary photography & I happy to listen to your hopes for your Special day.

I’d love to hear from you if you have an up coming Wedding and would like a professional photographer. From small intimate registry office weddings to Grand Stately Homes, Id love to be part of your special day, capturing & creating life long memories for you, and even more favourite photographs for me!

Jude’s newborn photo shoot

Welcome to the world ! Please meet the adorable and very well behaved Jude who was just 7 day new when he came for his newborn photo shoot 🙂

A few months back I was contacted a lovely bride called Laura.  I had photographed her wedding a about 3 years ago. Laura asked if she and her work colleagues would be able to buy a voucher as a pressie for Becci. They wanted to get her a voucher that would cover a newborn photo shoot and some products for Rob and Becci afterwards… what a wonderful gift.

As you can’t really book a specific date in to the diary as babies tend to make their appearances into the world when they’re ready I asked Rob to let me know as soon as their little one arrived. Rob called me as soon as Jude made his appearance in to the world and we booked him in for his first photo shoot 🙂

At this point I would also like to say a massive thank you to my friend and fellow photographer Lisa Scott who helped me out massively, as Stuart & I are expecting our next little one in about 5 weeks ! even just bending down has become a major task lol.

Below is just a small selection of images of the very cute Jude. If you know Becci & Rob and would like to see the full photo shoot please contact them for the password which, will allow you to access the full gallery on my main site.

Fern and Kyle’s Wedding – Ardencote Manor, Warwick

Fern & Kyle had been recommended to us after we had photographed their friend, Michelle’s wedding a few years back. I always love it when couples contact you and tell you they’ve been recommended as it’s wonderful to know that your work has really been cherished & appreciated 🙂

As with all of my brides & groom, I like trying to meet up a few weeks before their special day to get to know them a little better, and vice versa, and to chat through their day… what they are looking forward to… what pictures they really want & what they don’t want 🙂

Fern was fantastically prepared and I had a great idea of the pictures they wanted capturing.

Fern & Kyle had also decided to book Stuart to film their wedding which meant I not only got to photograph their special day, but I got to spend the day with Stuart as well.  I decided to ask my friend & one of my 2nd shooters, Gemma to come out with me in order to capture more reportage style photography.

Fern & Kyle got married at St Giles Church in Exhall before having their wedding reception at the wonderful Ardencote Manor in Warwick.

Here are just a few of their photos from their wedding day!

Alisa & Sam’s Wedding – Hatton Village Hall

What a lovely wedding 🙂 … Alisa’s family have know Stuart for years but it was still such an honour to be asked to photography and film Alisa & Sam’s wedding.

We met up with Alisa, Sam, mum & Dad a few weeks before to catch up (with a few drinks 🙂 ) & to chat through their wedding.  Sam & Alisa are very easy going and were more than happy to leave the day in our hands.

Alisa & Sam were marries at St James parish Church in Bulkington before heading to Hatton Village Hall in Warwick, for their reception.

Here are a few of their pictures from their wonderful day.

Michelle and Sam’s Wedding at Coombe Abbey

Michelle and Sam booked me to photograph their wedding what seemed to be an age ago.  Their wedding was to be held at Coombe Abbey in Coventry.  Michelle is the head receptionist at Coombe so I was over the moon when they chose me to capture their special day, especially with the number of weddings and photographers she sees 🙂

Michelle and Sam had also booked Stuart to film their wedding and Gemma came out to 2nd shoot for me.

We made our way to Michelle’s house, and even though the weather was wet, cold and gloomy, the girls spirits were certainly not.  After photographing the morning’s preparation and getting the first sneeky peek at michelle’s beautiful dress, accessories and stunning flowers (by flowers by michelle) we headed to Coombe to meet Sam and all his Groomsmen.

michellesamblogPage001

michellesamblogPage002I always find time feels like it speeds up the nearer we get to the ceremony time and, with what only seemed like a blink of an eye, Michelle was arriving in style with her dad in the lovely vintage Rolls from The Wedding barn.

msblog 2Page003Michelle and Sam were married in the Abbeygate and after the service and signing of the register, Michelle, Sam, family & friends headed outside to enjoy the good old tradition of covering them in colourful confetti 🙂

msblog 2Page004

The weather couldn’t make it’s mind up as to whether it was going to rain or not so we quickly headed off with Michelle and Sam to grab a few photos of the two of them with the car & beautiful backdrop of the front of Coombe, which also meant Sam got to have a drive around in the car 🙂

msblog 2Page005

Just as we finished the photos with the car, as if on cue, the heavens opened so Stuart, Gemma & I  headed back inside to give Michelle & Sam a few minutes to have a drive around in the car & to start organising the people for the group photos.  We were lucky enough to have one of the indoor rooms available for the group shots and again, just as we had finished the smaller family groups, as if on cue, the rain stopped leaving us just about enough time to squeeze in the aerial shot of everyone, that they had hoped for.

msblog 2Page006

We stole Michelle and Sam away for a few more photos, well who could resist with Michelle looking so stunning… Sorry Sam, as dapper as you looked I’m afraid you were out-shone by Michelle & we captured one of my favourite image of their wedding…the full length image of Michelle standing in the window with the back of her dress draped beautifully behind her.

msblog 2Page007

The day just seemed to fly by and as we finished our last photos of them we headed to photograph the cloisters before guests sat down for the Wedding breakfast.  We captured the speeches, I’m not sure whether Sam spent more time laughing or hiding his face tee hee.

msblog 2Page008

Finally the evening came round oh too quickly and after cutting the cake and 1st dance,  Michelle had planed (or she thought she had 😉 ) that she would leave the room with Sam for a few minutes & when they came back in to the room everyone would be wearing masks of  Sam’s face …. what she hadn’t anticipated was that when they returned all the guests were wearing masks 🙂 but they weren’t just Sams face but MICHELLE as well 🙂 … what a brilliant idea!  I think at one point even Stuart and I had masks on which did make it a little tricky to see through my camera’s eye piece lol.

We said our goodnights and headed off home, a touch jealous as Michelle and Sam were heading off to Walt disney world for their honeymoon … however this did give us an idea for a final page for their album …

One of my other passions as well as photographing is drawing and design so as a little extra we suggested to them, that if they took some pictures they liked whilst in florida, I would make a montage page of images from their honeymoon for the end of their album… It also gave me change to design a little something special & illustrate a couple of extra little characters 🙂

Nicole and Rob’s Wedding at Warwick House

I had first met Nicole and Rob at their cousins wedding I’d photographed at Warwick house a little while back.  It was therefore a wonderful complement that they also chose to book me to be their wedding photographer. Another added bonus was having Stuart accompany me as a second shooter.

I shouldn’t really, but I try and glimpse ahead at the weather forecast, keeping my fingers crossed that we’d have a let up in the awful weather we’d been having, as Nicole & Rob had hoped to get married outdoors in the gazebo at Warwick house.  Unfortunately fine weather definitely wasn’t on the cards and as Stuart & I waded across the road, which was now more like a river, to meet Nicole & the girls at Retreat Hair salon I was so pleased to see that the weather hadn’t dampened their spirits.

Nicole had asked us first to meet us at the saloon to get some images of her and her bridesmaids having their hair done, then to pop back to her & Robs house to photograph her dress, shoes and jewellery followed by her final preparate at Warwick house.

We built in a little time before Nicole was due to arrive to photograph Rob & his best man, her beautiful bouquet and also to catch up with a few familiar faces.  The weather broke just long enough to dash outside & grab a couple of shots with Rob by the now redundant gazebo.

While Rob met with the Registrar’s  we finish getting some candid shots of guest mingling and enjoying themselves before spending the last few moments, before the ceremony, with Nicole.  Nicole looked stunning 🙂 & I was lucky enough to have time to capture one last shot of her as she descended the stairs to the ceremony room & her husband to be.

After a lovely ceremony people’s spirits were running high despite rain lashing all around.  It certainly wasn’t going to dampen Nicole & Rob’s spirits and so we carried on with group shots in doors, utilising the chaise longue & lovely large arched window.

After we were happy that we’d capture all the images Nicole & Rob had asked for we had time for a quick confetti shot, on the staircase, before stealing the newly-weds off for some photos of the two of them.

And then …. as if by magic …. it stopped raining.  The one shot we hadn’t been able to get for them, which Nicole had asked for, was a shot of everyone in a heart shape.  We grab everyone together got our photo & even managed to squeeze a few more shots of just the two of together, outdoors, before the heavens opened once more.

I don’t think I saw Nicole & Rob stopped smiling the whole day through.  I was so pleased to have been part of their special day.  We stayed to capture Rob’s speech before departing to allow them to continue with their Wedding celebrations.

Here are just a small selection of the photos we took on the day.

Nicki & Rob’s Wedding at Allesley Church & Brandon Hall

A job doesn’t get much better when you can combine everything you love. My passion for photography, getting to be creating with wonderful wedding dresses, pretty flowers, sparkly jewellery, working with Stuart who was 2nd shooting with me on this wedding, celebrating special occasions with happy people & of course … cake! So how pleased was I that I could combine all of these with Nicki & Rob’s Wedding.

Nicki & Rob popped over a few weeks before their wedding to chat through their day & have a few informal practise shots as they were a little nervous about having their pictures taken.  I know they were nervous but they really had no need to be.  They are a lovely couple with great personalities & who obviously adore each other & this shone through in the images I captured   :).

Stuart & I headed to Nicki’s house to first capture all the pretty details of the dress, shoes, flowers etc as well as Nicki & her bridesmaids’ preparation.  It was clear from the beginning that this was going to be a lovely feel-good wedding.

After spending some time with the girls we headed to Allesley Church in Coventry to photograph Rob with his two best men & usher.  Rob was happy for fun & formal photograph so we made the most of it by getting the lads to star jump & give Rob the bumps!

It was a lovely service conducted by Robin &, once finished, we spent a little time getting some of the group shots Nicki & Rob had asked for, as well as the first of the shots of Nicki & Rob as husband & wife.

After a cheeky glass of Champaign, the happy couple made their way to Brandon Hall in style in a lovely 1933 Rolls Royce convertible, courtesy of Chris from C.G.Wedding cars

We’d had a bad spell with the weather & I knew Nicki had been worried that her wedding would be a wash out.  She’d hired out some lovely pretty white parasol type umbrellas.  Nicki hadn’t needed to have been worried as the weather ended up being glorious.  However, it would have been an awful waste to not have used the parasols & as well as some lovely shots with the couple we had great fun with the youngest bridesmaid and Nicki’s two cheeky twin brothers.

We finished our photographic coverage after the speeches, which went down very well, particularly the double act from the best men which comprised of a slide show, showing various embarrassing photos as well as reminiscing about the antics of a younger Rob.

Nicki & Rob’s wedding was a fantastic & fun wedding to photograph. Below are a few of my favourite images we took from the day.

Jo and David’s Wedding at The Welcombe Hotel Stratford

I’ve always enjoyed photographing weddings at The Welcombe Hotel in Stratford so when Jo & David booked me for their wedding I was delighted when they told me The Welcombe was their wedding venue.  I was even more excited when I found out the Jo’s best friend, Laura, who I also know, was her maid of honour :).

We met up a couple of weeks before their wedding to chat about their plans for their day and to find out what photos they really wanted.  This would be a lovely family orientated wedding as Jo & David’s three children would feature prominently within the wedding.

Gemma was 2nd shooting for the 1st time with me today and after a quick walk around the grounds we met Jo her 3 bridesmaids and her Son & usher for the day, Connor,  in the beautiful Countess suite at The Welcombe. What a wonderful asset Grace, Flo & Connor are to their Parent’s they were so polite, friendly and fun to photograph.  The two twin girls made beautiful bridesmaids & Connor certainly enjoyed wielding his cane around for the day, looking every bit the gentleman.

After the service we all made our way to the garden’s for canapes, drinks and photos. After some group shots I stole Jo & David for some more romantic couple shots, around the grounds.  I was particularly chuffed as it just so happened that the purple lavender was out in force which happened to compliment Jo’s purple theme beautifully.

Jo & David then spent time enjoying their day with their guests which was a great opportunity for Gemma & I to capture lots of reportage shots.  It was also a great for us to relax a little and chat with their family and friend.  It was obvious that Jo & David are held in high regards and I heard nothing but praise for them.  What a lovely family and what an honour for me to be part of such a special day.

Here are just a few images taken at Jo & David’s wedding.
