Coombe Abbey Wedding photography | Marie & Julian’s Wedding

Coombe Abbey Wedding photography | Marie & Julian’s Wedding

Julian & Marie had chosen to have a Coombe Abbey Wedding, holding their special day in Coombe’s Marque on the beautiful East terrace.

I’m always very grateful when i receive a personal recommendation for my wedding photography čÖé & after been given my details from his friend, Julian had called to talk about booking me as their wedding photographer.

The first thing I remember about Julian was his infectious laugh & how easy it was to chat with him. I knew this would be a lovely wedding to be part of. After we had gone through what he was looking for he also mentioned that he and Marie had wondered about having a wedding videographer.

As well as being Married, Stuart (kettell video productions) & I have worked together for years. Filming & photographing hundreds of weddings together throughout the whole of the UK including many Coombe Abbey Wedding’s. ┬áTo have another wonderful opportunity & to both be chosen to be part of Julian’s & Marie’s wedding was great čÖé

What a lovely day -as Stuart & I arrived at Coombe Abbey the Sun was shining, the weather was great & Julian didn’t stop smiling from the moment I saw him step out of the limousine. Marie & her ladies were equally as smiley. čśÇ

Julian & Marie has chosen to have their entire day filmed & photographed & afterward had asked me to produce a beautiful wedding album.

Below are just a few pages from the gorgeous wedding album I designed for then… & going by the bottle of champaign & very delicious box of choccies that they brought us as thank you gift… they were delighted by their wedding images, album & video.

Beth & Chris’s Wedding – St Peter’s Church Dunchurch, Warwickshire.

Beth & Chris’s Wedding – St Peter’s Church Dunchurch, Warwickshire.

Beth & Chris had chosen to get married in St Peter’s Church Dunchurch, Warwickshire followed by a reception in the beautiful settings of Beth’s Parent’s Home.

I had met with Beth & Chris a few weeks before their wedding to chat through what photographs they would like and what was most important to them, for me to capture.

As well as the traditional images and groups Beth & Chris really liked the more candid reportage style photos & so I suggested that I would bring one of my second photographers, Gemma to capture some additional images. ┬áThe suggestion of photographing the hard hats also cropped up & it’ll become clear as to why this was relevant!

The day of their wedding arrived & the weather was near perfect, always a good start čÖé

After spending the morning at the family home, with Beth & her family, where they we enjoying getting ready we then made our way to St Peter’s Church.

St Peter’s is a 14th century ‘usually’ picturesque church situated in the central square in Duchurch, however, for Beth & Chris’s wedding we had already been pre warned that St Peter’s was undergoing much needed major work on the tower & walls.┬á┬áThis had required the entire tower to be covered in scaffolding & sheet corrugated iron ! ┬áFab for the church, not so great for wedding photographs! Beth & Chris had decided to embrace the ‘new look’ of the church rather than moan about the unfortunate backdrop & had even had two builder’s hard hats decorated by a friend,┬áfor the occasion.

After a lovely Church service & photos around the grounds┬á… incorporating the hard hats! we made our way back to Beth’s family home , in Dunchurch, to carry on the celebrations. After capturing all of the group images Beth & Chris had requested we then got to spend some time around the grounds of their family farm home capturing posed & more natural shots of Beth & Chris. We maximised on the wonderful weather & fantastic props around the grounds including bales of hay & a great big red tractor :-).

The wedding reception was held in a superbly decorated marquee at the bottom of their garden.

I was lucky enough to enjoy a superb meal & the most amazing dessert (well it would have been rude to refuse!) before photographing the speeches.

Below are just a few of the images captured at Beth & Chris’s wedding.

If you or someone you know is getting married in and around Warwickshire (or even further afield!) & would like to chat about having your wedding photographed by a professional photographer please do not hesitate to call or email.

I’ll look forward to hearing from you x

Victoria Jane Photography -A short preview of my wedding photography

Victoria Jane Photography -A short preview of my wedding photography

Wow were has the time gone? My poor old blog has been rather neglected over the last year … although for a good reason čÖé I decided to take a little less work on so I could play Mummy a little bit more to our new beautiful daughter Livy, who has just turned 1 !

Were to start ? I have so many fabulous weddings to add and some really exciting corporate jobs I’ve had the honour┬áto photograph over the last year. But Rome wasn’t built in a day and so rather than try rushing to post everything I thought Id have a look back over the last year or so and design a little video showing some of my favourite wedding photographs.

Being a professional Wedding photographer is such a wonderful privilege. ┬áNot only do I get to be part of your special day (& maybe even eat a slice of cake!) but I get to create memories for you that will last a life time… precious memories that you’ll be able to look back on in years to come and smile, and maybe even shed a tear, reminiscing about your amazing day. And I have been lucky enough to have been allowed to create those irreplaceable memories, frozen in time, for hundreds and hundreds of lovely couples.

So how can I choose my favourite images as I must have an archive of 100’s of thousands of images. ┬áWell the honest answer is I couldn’t, as I have too many :-), ┬áso instead I chose a handful of images which hopefully captures who I am a photographer and give you an idea about how passionate I am about what I can do for you. What ever your preferred style, relaxed reportage photography, more classic photography or even unique contemporary photography & I happy to listen to your hopes for your Special day.

I’d love to hear from you if you have an up coming Wedding and would like a professional photographer. From small intimate registry office weddings to Grand Stately Homes, Id love to be part of your special day, capturing & creating life long┬ámemories for you, and even more favourite photographs for me!

Tess & Tom | Wedding photography at The Windmill Village |

Tess and Tom are such a lovely couple that we couldn’t help but smile most of the day. ┬áThe wedding ceremony and celebrations all took place at The Windmill Village Hotel, Coventry. We were photographing their wedding right from Tess getting ready until late into the evening celebrations. Tess & Tom were very keen to have not only group & posed shots but as much reportage style photography as time allowed … needless to say, with guests enjoying themselves & the weather on our side, guests spent as much time chatting, drinking & laughing outside, as they could … so plenty of photo opportunities čÖé !! ┬áHere are just a few photos from their day! ……..

If you are thinking of getting married and you want a fun photographer who offers flexibility along with creativity please give me a call on 07739096632.

Laura and Danny | Wedding Photography at St. Margaret’s Church in Crick and then Wethele Manor

We really enjoyed this wedding! Laura and Danny are such a lovely couple; the sort of people that you warm to immediately! I knew in our first meeting that I wanted to photograph their wedding and that they would be the sort of people that would appreciate the effort that we go to. I could tell this simply by the effort that they, and their family and friends, have obviously gone to in order to make their day that extra bit special.

We started off by travelling to Laura’s lovely family home in Crick for some bridal preparation photographs. We spent an hour or so taking photographs of some of the little details that added to the day; the beautiful flowers in their garden, the specially chosen shoes and dresses for Laura and her bridesmaids, the decor of the house, Jewellery etc…. as well as some quiet family photographs in the back garden.

From there, a short walk up to St. Margaret’s church, which unfortunately was steeped in scaffolding due to recent restoration work (I dare you to see it in the photos though!). Gary was at the back during the service, sometimes at floor level and discretely and silently moving up onto the organist balcony for a better viewpoint. I stayed at the front to capture the ‘action’ close-up.

After some group photos in the church grounds and a nice confetti shot we all drove to the very lovely and relaxing Wethele Manor near to Leamington Spa. This was a new Warwickshire venue for us but I’ve no doubt we’ll be back there some time soon. We did some more group photographs as well as some of Laura and Danny on their own before going inside the impressive marquee for the fantastic food supplied by Aubrey Allen catering. In the evening there was a disco, plenty of relaxing for guests outside in the sunshine and our photo booth proved, once again, to be a a real highlight and a source of great amusement.

Sarah & Darren’s Wedding | Photography at the Forest hotel in Dorridge, West Midlands

After a busy Christmas most people like to chill out … Not Sarah čÖé … as well as her tireless fund raising for Macmillan Cancer Support in Coventry & Warkwickshire, being a full-time mum & preparing for Christmas, Sarah was also organising her wedding … which included making all her guests individual cup cakes (yum) – Mad, I know!

So I guess it was quite fitting that she used equally mad photographers to capture her & Darren’s special day

– Stuart (Will the mad fool make it?) Kettell & myself !!

We’ve both known Sarah for a number of years & as well as all being good friends, Stuart & I (more recently) also help raise money for Macmillan.

The Weather can always be an interesting challenge for the photographer & today was no exception! The ground still had a light covering of snow, in patches, & as we approached The Forest Hotel in Dorridge we also had a thick fog to contend with.

Below are a selection of images from Sarah & Darren’s Wedding day

As Sarah & the girls get ready …

… We meet the two most important young men of the day!

Also in the above picture we have the Groom, Darren (bottom rhs) & best man (bottom lhs).

Apparently they are always this angelic!

Sarah’s bridesmaids looking stunning.

Sarah’s Dad proudly walks his daughter down the aisle.

The exchange of rings followed by the reading “the Lovely other Dinosaur” by Sarah’s sister. ┬áProudly helping out, Sarah & Darren’s boys hold up drawings they’ve made to illustrate the poem – ahh čÖé

The Kiss!

It’s official.

The lengths we’ll go to as photographers to get the shot …

Darren serenades his beautiful bride

(while I stand in 4″ of water on the flat roof of the hotel just to capture the moment)

Sarah had thought of everything ……… čÖé

For the observant among you, even the photographers ended up being photographed!!

And as the evening drew to an end …

… We had time for one final image┬áÔÖą

Emel and Viktor | Wedding Photography at the Forest of Arden Hotel by Victoria Jane Photography

Emel and Viktor got married at the Forest of Arden Hotel and Golf club near to Maxstoke between Coventry and Solihull in Warwickshire and we were there to photograph their wedding – starting with Emel getting ready through to just beyond their first dance. This was a really interesting wedding for us to photograph since we were interested in the two cultures (Emel’s family are Turkish and Viktor’s are Hungarian) and also, Emel and Viktor were very keen for us to try something ‘artistic’ for their ‘newlywed ┬ácouple shots’. We really enjoyed doing their wedding photography, despite a few language difficulties during the group shots, and having to dodge the rain after the ceremony! Here’s a taster of the photographs to come. We’ve spent many hours editing images so far and we haven’t finished yet. This will, hopefully, whet you appetite ………

Viktor, dressed in a very smart suit before the ceremony … with best man and usher either side. At this point in the day it was incredibly bright sunshine with no available shade outside, hence the slight squinting ….

The rings (look carefully inside the button hole) ….. being kept safe ….

I’m not sure whether the men were expecting to do a short warm up but I didn’t give them much choice!

Meanwhile, Emel was being made to look even more gorgeous than she already is …..

Here she is, just into her fantastic dress – absolutely stunning! ….

And with her very elegant bouquet ….

Viktor was obviously bowled over by his beautiful bride … and who wouldn’t be? The service ….

Time for a quick plug about our use of two photographers – notice that during the service we’ve got shots from the front and the back. You simply can’t do that if you’ve only got one photographer!

After the ceremony, dodging the rain for some group shots ….

And now for some of the photographs that Emel and Viktor were particularly interested in trying ….

These were taken just off to the side of one of the Greens (it’s a golf club!). Luckily, it was 4:30 in the afternoon and most of the golfers had finished their rounds ….

I was really pleased that Emel and Viktor both wanted to spend some time doing the photography. It was nice not to be rushed and I think the variety of shots we were able to try was better as a result. The ones shown here are just a few….. and we had a few good giggles along the way!

Back inside the hotel. You might remember these images (in normal clothes!) when we did the pre-wedding photo shoot just to get Emel and Viktor used to being in-front of the camera. I think it paid off on the day because Emel and Viktor were both very comfortable in-front of the cameras.

The evening entertainment allowed everyone to let their hair down a little and really show us how it’s done – complete with belly dancer just after the first dance to start things off …..

I hope you liked looking at these images. Of course, we took many more photographs on the day and we are still editing them ready to present properly to Emel and Viktor. If you were a wedding guest and you want to view the full set of images you will need to speak to Emel and Viktor to get the password. The finalised images will be on my main website in a few weeks time;┬áwww.victoriajanephotography.co.uk in a gallery devoted to just Emel and Viktor’s photographs.

Meanwhile, I’m taking bookings for wedding photography at the Forest of Arden and many similar lovely locations throughout Warwickshire and the West Midlands. If you want to find out more or if you are looking for a photographer for your own wedding please do contact me on 07739096632 or send me an email.
