Victoria Jane Photography -A short preview of my wedding photography

Victoria Jane Photography -A short preview of my wedding photography

Wow were has the time gone? My poor old blog has been rather neglected over the last year … although for a good reason 🙂 I decided to take a little less work on so I could play Mummy a little bit more to our new beautiful daughter Livy, who has just turned 1 !

Were to start ? I have so many fabulous weddings to add and some really exciting corporate jobs I’ve had the honour to photograph over the last year. But Rome wasn’t built in a day and so rather than try rushing to post everything I thought Id have a look back over the last year or so and design a little video showing some of my favourite wedding photographs.

Being a professional Wedding photographer is such a wonderful privilege.  Not only do I get to be part of your special day (& maybe even eat a slice of cake!) but I get to create memories for you that will last a life time… precious memories that you’ll be able to look back on in years to come and smile, and maybe even shed a tear, reminiscing about your amazing day. And I have been lucky enough to have been allowed to create those irreplaceable memories, frozen in time, for hundreds and hundreds of lovely couples.

So how can I choose my favourite images as I must have an archive of 100’s of thousands of images.  Well the honest answer is I couldn’t, as I have too many :-),  so instead I chose a handful of images which hopefully captures who I am a photographer and give you an idea about how passionate I am about what I can do for you. What ever your preferred style, relaxed reportage photography, more classic photography or even unique contemporary photography & I happy to listen to your hopes for your Special day.

I’d love to hear from you if you have an up coming Wedding and would like a professional photographer. From small intimate registry office weddings to Grand Stately Homes, Id love to be part of your special day, capturing & creating life long memories for you, and even more favourite photographs for me!

General Blog Update

Ok, so you’ve not heard from me for a while ……Sorry about that!

Is it because I’ve been doing nothing and had nothing to say? ABSOLUTELY NOT!

Far from it, in-fact. I’ve been SO BUSY that I simply haven’t had the time to tell you what I’ve been doing. Anyway, I’m now taking a break from the photography for a few days and I’m going to be adding a few more images from some of the events and weddings I’ve been doing in the last two months. I’ve been photographing weddings, Christmas parties, doing family photo shoots and doing some corporate photography in Warwickshire and Coventry …. and winning several awards for photos that I’ve been entering into international competitions for the SWPP (Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers) experts to judge!  More blog posts with more images to look at will follow VERY soon …..

A very hectic October & November

Hi Folks … I feel like I’ve been neglecting my blog a little over the last few weeks.  I’ve just been so busy editing all the fantastic weddings & functions I’ve attended that I’ve just simply not had time to add the posts ….

However, if you’re keeping a look out for events you’ve attended then please keep checking back as I’m just about to update my blog over the next week with images from;

Jo & Sue’s Civil Wedding @ Easenhall, Sam & Andy’s Wedding @ The Ardencote, Linda & Ian’s Wedding @ Coombe Abbey, Kate & Adam’s Wedding @ Ragley Hall & The George Coller Memorial Fund 10th anniversary event @ The Burlington.  Shortly after I will be adding a post for Tara & David @ Hatton Village Hall.

Leeds Castle at Night

Leeds castle at Night - Hand Held!

I worked along-side another photographer doing a wedding at the very lovely Leeds Castle in Kent last weekend. I’m contracted not to divulge any details about the wedding couple or their guests but the castle was so beautiful that I just HAD to stop and take a quick snap shot as I was leaving after midnight! I didn’t have my tripod so this image was hand-held. It’s not perfect, but I’m pleased about how well it turned out.

Update – I’ve been snowed under in the last few weeks!

I’ve had a great time photographing weddings for some lovely couples in the last few weeks. In fact, I’ve photographed 3 weddings in 10 days and designed 2 large albums for previous couples ….. busy, busy, busy!

Anyway, that’s my excuse for not adding much to this blog recently. Oh …. and I’ve also been re-writing some pages on my main website which is in-case you’ve not seen it before. The main website, by the way, is where you can view full image sets from recent weddings and other events if you’ve been given the password by my clients.

I’m just about to add some teaser images to this blog from Sally and Andy’s wedding at Honiley Church and then the reception at the Woodside at Kenilworth, Warwickshire.

I’m in the process of posting the main images to my main website tonight so they’ll be there to view from tomorrow morning. If you were a guest or family member you may already have the password. If not, you will need to ask Sally or Andy to get the password to view their full gallery of images or I’ll perhaps make it public with their permission. As one person has commented, don’t be confused if you unsuccessfully try to use the wedding day password for their pre-wedding photo shoot gallery. The passwords are different!

A busy time lately!

I’ve been so busy in the last few weeks that I’ve not had time to update my blog or my website! I’ve done loads of photo shoots and some weddings in the last month and I’ve started to pick up some business via our family shop in Coventry.

Grace and Phillip had a wonderful wedding at Hampton Manor near to Solihull. It was a wedding with a little twist with some german tradition being part of the festivities. Phillip was dashing and Grace was absolutely stunning in her dress! You’ll love the photos and so will they when they see the full selection.

I got a call from a Rugby dance studio last week. They needed a photographer urgently …. one hour later!! Two hours later I’d taken over 800 shots of the most talented youngsters you’re likely to see on stage. A wonderful dress rehearsal and a delight to be a witness to their skill. I really hope I get to do more photographs for them in the future. Images to come once I’ve got parental permission.

I’ll be posting some new images here in the next day or two. Keep looking!

Happy New Year!

It’ been a great start to the new year already. I’ve had several enquiries for my wedding photography: One for 2012! Very organised!!

I’m meeting a future bride and groom on Wednesday (they met me at a wedding fayre that I did in November near to Stratford) to discuss their photography and I’ve had some extra orders for prints from two brides whose weddings I photographed late last year.

Meanwhile, I’ve had an enquiry from a fantastic wildlife photographer who is interested in me doing some canvas prints for him. I’ll add a link to his site if he decides to work with me!

Busy, busy, busy!

I’ll get some images up here soon. Bear with me while I add more to this blog.
