Sophie & Matt’s Knowle Church & Mallory Court Wedding

Sophie & Matt’s Knowle Church & Mallory Court Wedding

Sophie & Matt were married at Knowle Church in Knowle, Warwickshire, before celebrating at the beautiful Mallory Court wedding venue in Leamington.

Sophie & Matt had popped over to see us a few weeks back to go through their wedding details so it was lovely to catch up with Sophie & meet her Mom & Dad & bridesmaids at their family home for the preparations.

Within moments of walking in we were made to feel so incredibly welcome & as the atmosphere buzzed with excitement, & a little lady who could dab extremely well (I still cant seem to master that- think it must be an age thing lol) I got to play with all their lovely shoes, jewellery & of course Sophie stunning (& beautifully sparkly) wedding dress.

Stuart had been booked to film their wedding & I would be photographing, so again I got to spend the whole day with my husband, doing the job I love!

We left the girls & headed to the very picturesque Knowle Parish Church just down the road to meet with Matt & the boy. As well as some more traditional photos the boys were happy for a bit of fun & with time to spare we were able to get some more informal lovely reportage images of friends and family.

Sophies’s bridesmaids & mom arrived in style, first, in a beautiful Vintage Rolls Royce Landaulette. Followed by Sophie & her dad as the Rolls made round trip.

Following the beautiful service we captured a number of group shots requested by Sophie & Matt before a fabulous confetti send off & glasses of bubbly .

We moved on from Knowle Parish Church to Mallory Court for the remainder of the wedding. Mallory is a magnificent manor house hotel in Leamington Spa, set in 10 acres of grounds, is the epitome of a quintessential English country house hotel. Ive been lucky enough to photograph a number of Mallory Court Wedding, the last only being a few weeks ago.  It never fails to amaze me how quickly Mallory Court changes through out the year & how the photo opportunities change too.

Before the wedding breakfast we completed some fun friends images and some more arty wedding photographs with Sophie and Matt with the plan to complete the remainder after the meal when it would have also cooled down a little. Again we had several locations planned and ideas so we were able to quickly run through a number of photographs with them both inside and out before their evening guests arrived. With guests being entertained by the beautiful music provided by the lovely ladies from Sorelli Ensemble I utilised the remained of the time before the meal to capture some more candid images.

While Sophie & Matt enjoyed their wedding breakfast Stuart & I had a bit of a breather.  We had been kindly provided with the most delicious – humungous (understatement) plate of fish & chips ! Now for anyone who knows me – I like my food- but even I struggled to finish this mouthwatering plate of yumminess … but I did 😀

The speeches were everything they should be, fun, incredibly emotional & lovely & once finished guests enjoyed the beautiful summer evening in the grounds whilst the room was turned around for the evenings entertainment.

We stayed to capture the cake cut & first dance plus a couple of arty night time image.

Below are some of my favourite images from the day & will hopefully give the new Mr & Mrs Vincent a chance to see a small handful of their finally images (I’m feel very sorry for them… stuck on a beautiful honeymoon island with limited wifi 😀 .. not that I’m a touch jealous :-D)

Congratulations to you both, Stuart & I will look forward to seeing you with your photos & video when you return x

Monica & Simon’s Sikh Wedding Ceremony at Ragley Hall

Monica & Simon’s Sikh Wedding Ceremony at Ragley Hall

The sky was a brilliant blue & the sun blazing as I made my way to photography Monica & Simon’s Sikh wedding at Ragley Hall, a magnificent Palladian mansion nestled within an estate of 450 acres of grounds & parklands located in Alcester, Warwickshire.

Ive been lucky enough to photograph a number of Weddings at Ragley Hall as well as corporate events, their official fireworks & even a Halloween special but Monica & Simon’s Sikh Ceremony would be the 1st I had photographed there.

Simon had said the day would be non stop beginning with him riding in on a horse & end James Bond style. I was pretty much prepared for anything 🙂

I met with Simon’s Grooms men at the bottom of the long winding driveway which leads up to Ragley Hall.  The beautiful white mare was being prepared for her part in the ceremony- decorated with colourful adornments.  The horse must be white, as it represents peace and submissiveness of the powerful horse to the groom. Simon arrived dressed in a ornate white Sherwani, elaborately decorated with intricate gold stitching and red buttons.  Simon looked truly royal during the Baraat, as his made his way towards the entrance with his friends & family singing folk songs and dances.

The Milni followed (the official meeting of both families) where key male family members from both sides exchange garlands and greet each other, symbolising the acceptance of two families into one. Not to be out done on either side, the lifting of each other got higher & higher much to the delight or all the guests watching.

After Monica & Simon’s wedding ceremony, steeped in traditional rituals, the guests enjoyed tea & sandwiches on the patio in the beautiful sunshine, accompanied by music played by a saxophonist.

We gathered the families together for some family shots & then had a little bit of time to take Simon & Monica off around the stunning grounds for a few shots of them as the newly weds.

The lavish celebrations continued in the  beautiful dinning hall within Ragley were family & friends enjoyed a traditional Sikh banquet.

An emotional singing solo by Simon’s daughter followed the speeches & if that wasn’t keeping me on my toes enough 😀 Monica & Simon when straight from a cake cut in to their first dance where their bridal party flash mobbed the dance!

The evening certainly didn’t slow down or stop there… The entire lower level of Ragley hall had been decked out in a James Bond style casino theme so that their evening of entertainment & merriment could continue.

My time drew to an end & I bid my fair wells to Monica & Simon & their Casino Royale.

Here are just a few images taken from Monic & Simon’s Wedding

Hannah & Stuart’s Wedding at Ardencote Manor | Victoria Jane Photography

Hannah & Stuart’s Wedding at Ardencote Manor | Victoria Jane Photography

Hannah & Stuart had chosen to have their wedding at Ardencote Manor. They had booked the Victorian-era Manor House side, a traditional pretty English Country House setting for a wedding as well as the ornate Palms Conservatory in which they were to hold their ceremony & reception. The Ardencote Manor is such a versatile venue for weddings and events as not only does it offer a beautifully kept maze & garden grounds (& lake with gazebo – if you book Lakeside) the Manor House also has various indoor rooms such as the pretty library which can be used, should the weather by very Britishly -rainy & wet!

I had originally met Hannah’s Dad 2 years previously to meeting Hannah, when Id taken my girls to a soft play centre which he owns. I’d got chatting to Malcom & the Ladies that work, each week the girls & I went there &  it turned out that Malcom had originally managed a prestigious wedding venue, so had seen his fair share of wedding photographers (good & bad!)

When Hannah & Stuart announced their engagement I was delighted that Malcom asked me & Hannah & Stuart were happy for me to be there wedding photographer. Once they had made sure I was free the weekend they had in mind they then booked the Ardencote as their wedding venue.

Fast forward a year & their wedding was just around the corner. Hannah, Stuart & there Stuart’s sister & partner came around to chat through their day.

Well true to the Great British weather we’d woken to a cold, wet & very windy day 😦 but this was certainly not going to put a dampener on their day.

As I’d known that Hannah & Stuart liked reportage photography I’d asked Leah to come out & 2nd shoot with me.  I photographed Hannah & the girls bridal prep & then Leah & I made our way downstairs to meet Stuart with his dad & best man.  We made the most of a break in the rain & utilised the maze & the front of the house to get some lovely photos of the boys.

With Stuart & Hannah both getting ready at Ardencote & with the ceremony being held in the conservatory I now had the wonderful opportunity to go back up to Hannah for the final stages of bridal preparation. This would also be the 1st moment Malcom would see his beautiful daughter as the radiant bride – definitely a precious memory to be captured  as the normally jovial Malcom & Hannah where both over come by emotion & brought to tears. I can tell you there wasn’t a dry eye in the room.

Malcom proudly walked his daughter down the aisle, where Stuart then lead Hannah the final way to the top of the stage.

The ceremony was intimate and full of emotion. It was then out into the private bar area where guests welcomed the newly weds before heading to the library for a few family photos. Drinks were served in the bar and while the guests kept them selves warm indoors we took the couple off for their photos…Hannah even braved the outdoor for a handful of images (much to my delight)

The evening entertainment ensued & with Hannah’s Uncle donning a pair of clown’s shoes to complete his outfit & sparkly dinosaurs atop the cake the guests made merry. Hannah had her first dance with her husband before her Dad took over with a beautiful daughter+dad dance around the crowded floor.

Once it got a little darker we had an opportunity to set up some lighting & bring out the sparklers. Hannah and Stuart were up for a few more photos before they made their way back in for the remainder of the evenings entertainment.

Here are just a small handful of Hannah & Stuart’s wedding images.

Laura & Andy’s Hampton Lucy Church & Mallory Court Wedding | by Victoria Jane Photography

Laura & Andy’s Hampton Lucy Church & Mallory Court Wedding | by Victoria Jane Photography

Ok the quality of a my portfolio has captured your attention – fantastic – what next? For me, I feel it’s important we get to know each other a little.  Even if its a few chats over the phone or meeting up face to face for an informal chat.  As a bride and groom, you put a lot of trust and faith in your wedding photographer. In order to get the best images and a true account of the most important day of your life, it is imperative that you feel comfortable and relaxed in my presence.

Laura & Andy had only booked me a few months previously to photographer their wedding which was to be held at Hampton Lucy Church with the reception at Malloy Court.  I remember speaking with Laura on the phone & thinking how lovely she sounded when we had a chat. Because of timings & family commitments Laura was happy to simply book me over the phone.  We arranged to catch up properly a few weeks before her wedding.

We arranged a skype chat, which suited Laura & Andy best & had a great chat about their day (& despite being past their eldest daughter -Millie’s bedtime :-)), she joined us so she could tell me all about her special princess dress. I remember Laura joking that she’s nearly booked the weekend before & the weather for then looked to be horrendous… & she was right, the previous weekend had been a complete wash-out – cold, wet & windy yuk! Laura & Andy’s day couldn’t have been more different – Hot, dry & completely blue skies – I knew Laura would be pleased!

My first stop was Laura’s house where I got to meet Laura & Millie properly & Laura’s mom & Dad, Lottie their youngest was taking her morning siesta  – I felt very much at home straight away.  I also got introduced to their other family member – Jake the dog, who was not only deaf but blind … Jake had been one of the select few to be invited to the wedding, but Laura joked that she’d completely forgotten to tell the vicar at Hampton Lucy church & had sent an email the day before hoping they wouldn’t mind Jake being part of the congregation 😀 – The lovely Harriet from Hevans Hair Salon arrived shortly after, to transform Laura’s hair. The whole morning was very relaxed & I could already tell this was going to be a lovely intimate family wedding.

I headed off to meet Andy & his best man Jamie at Hampton Lucy Church, making as much as I could of the glorious sunshine.

Laura arrived, after being chauffeur driven by her dad, in a beautiful classic Mercedes Benz pagoda.

After a beautiful service, Laura had already told me we were on a pretty tight time table so we had just enough time for a few pictures of Laura, Andy & their two girls before heading off to Mallory Court.

As the sun continued to blaze gloriously we had just enough time to take a handful or group shots Laura & Andy had requested, & a number of Laura & Andy as the new Mr & Mrs Styring.

The wedding guests were called through for the Wedding breakfast & I was very lucky to have been provided with Lunch also 🙂 … & for any one who know me – I like food 😀

After the speeches Laura had asked if I could stay just a little longer as there was a few extra photos she was really keen to try & capture – I was happy to do so & afterwards I bid my fair well & left Laura, Andy family & friends to party their night away.

Here is just a sneaky peak of their images. The rest of their wedding images we be available to view in their password protected web gallery.

Congratulations to Mr & Mrs Styring. Hope you have a wonderful honeymoon & see you when you get home x

Laura & Nathan’s Warwickshire wedding- Hatton Church & Village Hall

Laura & Nathan’s Warwickshire wedding- Hatton Church & Village Hall

“Vicky was fantastic on the day and photographed every single detail and captured our day perfectly, she put me and my husband at ease, even when I was near tears (I got stung by a bee during our photos!)…We’d highly recommend Vicky and her work to anyone.”

LNW-0290

Laura & Nathan’s Warwickshire wedding was to take place at the picturesque Holy Trinity Church in Hatton  & Hatton Village Hall.  Both of which are literally on our doorstep.

Stuart & I have known Laura’s family for many years & had the privilege of photographing & filming Laura’s sisters wedding a few years ago. We were very excited & honoured to be asked to photograph & film Laura & Nathan’s up coming wedding.

Laura, like her sister Alissa, are both incredibly creative so we knew that Hatton village Hall would be beautifully decorated through-out & with the addition of alcoholic/cocktail flavoured ice-cream we couldn’t go far wrong :-)!

Laura spent the morning calmly getting ready at her family home, with the rest of her bridal party & family. I love being able to capture the preparation & all of the beautiful details at the beginning of a wedding, I’m definitely like a magpie – attracted to all the pretty sparkly things :-). We left Laura & her girls to finish getting ready & headed off to meet Nathan & his Groom’s men at Holt Trinity Church. I truly feel it’s important to photograph both the bridal prep & the groom & grooms men as this is the only part of the wedding that the bride & groom each miss out on during their special day, as they are not together at this point. As anyone who has got married will tell you, time seems to speed up 3 fold & the day passes in what seems to be a blink of an eye. I want to make the very most of capturing all those important memory for you so that you will be able to enjoy looking back on in months & years to come.

After a fabulous service, which included a beautiful acoustic guitar solo, played & sang by Laura’s Brother we made our way outside to photograph the family & group shots, requested by Laura & Nathan.  We bid fair well to the guests, who all made their way to the Village hall (to tuck into the extremely delicious ice cream!) while we whisked Laura & Nathan off to an idillic, little known hidden garden in Warwick. We were able to spend a little time wandering around the grounds, taking some beautiful pictures of the couple. A number of the images I  captured of Laura & Nathan are some of my favourites to date :-).  They were such an relaxed couple to work with & even after Laura had been attacked & stung viciously by the largest bee I have ever seen (I kid you not!) she still managed to smile & carried on.

A wonderful meal & incredibly funny speeches followed (at one point I thought Laura may die of embarrassment during her dad’s speech :-D) . The evening entertainment took us through the remainder of the night, with the band making sure there wasn’t a still foot in the house, with the dance floor crowded from the first moment they struck a chord .

As the evening drew to an end of a most fantastic day (apart from the bee) Mr & Mrs Walsh were given a tremendous sparkly – sparkler send off.

Congratulations to Laura & Nathan, both Stuart & I wish you both the best for your married life together.
