Alissa & Matt’s Wonderful Welcombe Wedding

Alissa & Matt’s Wonderful Welcombe Wedding

A few weeks ago I had the privilege of photographing Alissa & Matts wonderful Welcombe Wedding.  The sun was shining & the beautiful gardens out if full bloom. After a quick wander around the grounds capturing the hotel which is surrounded by 157 acres of landscaped grounds – so plenty to photography, Leah who was will me to 2nd shoot, & I made our way to the bridal suite.

On our way up the beautiful stair case we passed a lady, rushing the other way.  Not thinking much to it other than there being a resemblance to Alissa we went to find how Alissa & the girls were getting on.  We were introduced to all her bridesmaids except her sister – who Alissa said had had to rush off to tend to the best man.  It turn out Alissa sister lucky was a doctor & the best man had come down with gastric flu and was sick in bed… not the best timing unfortunately on your best friends wedding day but he was determined not to let his friends down & wanted to carry on. I have to say considering I knew how poorly he was feeling he did amazingly well to carry on all day!

We finished the bridal preparations in the fabulous bridal suite before Leah & I met Matt & the guys in the grounds to get some images of Matt and his grooms men.

Alissa & her mom made a fabulous entrance in to the nestfield suite following her lovely niece & nephew & bridesmaids down the Aisle towards the clearly emotional Matt. After a lovely ceremony fully of laughter & tears of happiness the guests made their way outside to enjoy the sun, canapés & pimms.

Before any wedding I always make sure either the bride & groom have popped over for a coffee & catch up or at the very least had a phone call if they just can’t make it over,  to go through what is important to then & what they would like in terms of group photographs & couple images.  This way on an already busy day where the time seems to speed up 3 fold, I can make sure I capture all of those important shots but in the quickest and most organised way. And lets face in no one wants to spend hours fluffing around having a very long (unnecessary) photo-session when they could be drinking pimms & eating the nibble :-D.

We made the most of the time we had to wander around the grounds surrounding the Welcombe as well as inside on the beautiful ornate stair case as Alissa had requested.

Alissa had already asked if after the meal & speeches her & Matt could go back outside & capture some more images during the beautiful golden hour.  Certainly wouldn’t hear me complaining at that request 🙂

A fabulous day turned in to a joyous evening & just shortly after the first dance Id noticed a reflection of the sky in the windows.  I grabbed Matt & Alissa & said I promise this will be worth it before racing to the bottom of the grounds to capture the most amazing sunset that I had seen over the summer.

As my day drew to an end I left the happy couple dancing the night away.  Congratulations Alissa & Matt, I can’t wait to finish your album so you can hold the story of your beautiful wedding day ion your hands xx

Sophie & Matt’s Knowle Church & Mallory Court Wedding

Sophie & Matt’s Knowle Church & Mallory Court Wedding

Sophie & Matt were married at Knowle Church in Knowle, Warwickshire, before celebrating at the beautiful Mallory Court wedding venue in Leamington.

Sophie & Matt had popped over to see us a few weeks back to go through their wedding details so it was lovely to catch up with Sophie & meet her Mom & Dad & bridesmaids at their family home for the preparations.

Within moments of walking in we were made to feel so incredibly welcome & as the atmosphere buzzed with excitement, & a little lady who could dab extremely well (I still cant seem to master that- think it must be an age thing lol) I got to play with all their lovely shoes, jewellery & of course Sophie stunning (& beautifully sparkly) wedding dress.

Stuart had been booked to film their wedding & I would be photographing, so again I got to spend the whole day with my husband, doing the job I love!

We left the girls & headed to the very picturesque Knowle Parish Church just down the road to meet with Matt & the boy. As well as some more traditional photos the boys were happy for a bit of fun & with time to spare we were able to get some more informal lovely reportage images of friends and family.

Sophies’s bridesmaids & mom arrived in style, first, in a beautiful Vintage Rolls Royce Landaulette. Followed by Sophie & her dad as the Rolls made round trip.

Following the beautiful service we captured a number of group shots requested by Sophie & Matt before a fabulous confetti send off & glasses of bubbly .

We moved on from Knowle Parish Church to Mallory Court for the remainder of the wedding. Mallory is a magnificent manor house hotel in Leamington Spa, set in 10 acres of grounds, is the epitome of a quintessential English country house hotel. Ive been lucky enough to photograph a number of Mallory Court Wedding, the last only being a few weeks ago.  It never fails to amaze me how quickly Mallory Court changes through out the year & how the photo opportunities change too.

Before the wedding breakfast we completed some fun friends images and some more arty wedding photographs with Sophie and Matt with the plan to complete the remainder after the meal when it would have also cooled down a little. Again we had several locations planned and ideas so we were able to quickly run through a number of photographs with them both inside and out before their evening guests arrived. With guests being entertained by the beautiful music provided by the lovely ladies from Sorelli Ensemble I utilised the remained of the time before the meal to capture some more candid images.

While Sophie & Matt enjoyed their wedding breakfast Stuart & I had a bit of a breather.  We had been kindly provided with the most delicious – humungous (understatement) plate of fish & chips ! Now for anyone who knows me – I like my food- but even I struggled to finish this mouthwatering plate of yumminess … but I did 😀

The speeches were everything they should be, fun, incredibly emotional & lovely & once finished guests enjoyed the beautiful summer evening in the grounds whilst the room was turned around for the evenings entertainment.

We stayed to capture the cake cut & first dance plus a couple of arty night time image.

Below are some of my favourite images from the day & will hopefully give the new Mr & Mrs Vincent a chance to see a small handful of their finally images (I’m feel very sorry for them… stuck on a beautiful honeymoon island with limited wifi 😀 .. not that I’m a touch jealous :-D)

Congratulations to you both, Stuart & I will look forward to seeing you with your photos & video when you return x

Monica & Simon’s Sikh Wedding Ceremony at Ragley Hall

Monica & Simon’s Sikh Wedding Ceremony at Ragley Hall

The sky was a brilliant blue & the sun blazing as I made my way to photography Monica & Simon’s Sikh wedding at Ragley Hall, a magnificent Palladian mansion nestled within an estate of 450 acres of grounds & parklands located in Alcester, Warwickshire.

Ive been lucky enough to photograph a number of Weddings at Ragley Hall as well as corporate events, their official fireworks & even a Halloween special but Monica & Simon’s Sikh Ceremony would be the 1st I had photographed there.

Simon had said the day would be non stop beginning with him riding in on a horse & end James Bond style. I was pretty much prepared for anything 🙂

I met with Simon’s Grooms men at the bottom of the long winding driveway which leads up to Ragley Hall.  The beautiful white mare was being prepared for her part in the ceremony- decorated with colourful adornments.  The horse must be white, as it represents peace and submissiveness of the powerful horse to the groom. Simon arrived dressed in a ornate white Sherwani, elaborately decorated with intricate gold stitching and red buttons.  Simon looked truly royal during the Baraat, as his made his way towards the entrance with his friends & family singing folk songs and dances.

The Milni followed (the official meeting of both families) where key male family members from both sides exchange garlands and greet each other, symbolising the acceptance of two families into one. Not to be out done on either side, the lifting of each other got higher & higher much to the delight or all the guests watching.

After Monica & Simon’s wedding ceremony, steeped in traditional rituals, the guests enjoyed tea & sandwiches on the patio in the beautiful sunshine, accompanied by music played by a saxophonist.

We gathered the families together for some family shots & then had a little bit of time to take Simon & Monica off around the stunning grounds for a few shots of them as the newly weds.

The lavish celebrations continued in the  beautiful dinning hall within Ragley were family & friends enjoyed a traditional Sikh banquet.

An emotional singing solo by Simon’s daughter followed the speeches & if that wasn’t keeping me on my toes enough 😀 Monica & Simon when straight from a cake cut in to their first dance where their bridal party flash mobbed the dance!

The evening certainly didn’t slow down or stop there… The entire lower level of Ragley hall had been decked out in a James Bond style casino theme so that their evening of entertainment & merriment could continue.

My time drew to an end & I bid my fair wells to Monica & Simon & their Casino Royale.

Here are just a few images taken from Monic & Simon’s Wedding

Laura & Andy’s Hampton Lucy Church & Mallory Court Wedding | by Victoria Jane Photography

Laura & Andy’s Hampton Lucy Church & Mallory Court Wedding | by Victoria Jane Photography

Ok the quality of a my portfolio has captured your attention – fantastic – what next? For me, I feel it’s important we get to know each other a little.  Even if its a few chats over the phone or meeting up face to face for an informal chat.  As a bride and groom, you put a lot of trust and faith in your wedding photographer. In order to get the best images and a true account of the most important day of your life, it is imperative that you feel comfortable and relaxed in my presence.

Laura & Andy had only booked me a few months previously to photographer their wedding which was to be held at Hampton Lucy Church with the reception at Malloy Court.  I remember speaking with Laura on the phone & thinking how lovely she sounded when we had a chat. Because of timings & family commitments Laura was happy to simply book me over the phone.  We arranged to catch up properly a few weeks before her wedding.

We arranged a skype chat, which suited Laura & Andy best & had a great chat about their day (& despite being past their eldest daughter -Millie’s bedtime :-)), she joined us so she could tell me all about her special princess dress. I remember Laura joking that she’s nearly booked the weekend before & the weather for then looked to be horrendous… & she was right, the previous weekend had been a complete wash-out – cold, wet & windy yuk! Laura & Andy’s day couldn’t have been more different – Hot, dry & completely blue skies – I knew Laura would be pleased!

My first stop was Laura’s house where I got to meet Laura & Millie properly & Laura’s mom & Dad, Lottie their youngest was taking her morning siesta  – I felt very much at home straight away.  I also got introduced to their other family member – Jake the dog, who was not only deaf but blind … Jake had been one of the select few to be invited to the wedding, but Laura joked that she’d completely forgotten to tell the vicar at Hampton Lucy church & had sent an email the day before hoping they wouldn’t mind Jake being part of the congregation 😀 – The lovely Harriet from Hevans Hair Salon arrived shortly after, to transform Laura’s hair. The whole morning was very relaxed & I could already tell this was going to be a lovely intimate family wedding.

I headed off to meet Andy & his best man Jamie at Hampton Lucy Church, making as much as I could of the glorious sunshine.

Laura arrived, after being chauffeur driven by her dad, in a beautiful classic Mercedes Benz pagoda.

After a beautiful service, Laura had already told me we were on a pretty tight time table so we had just enough time for a few pictures of Laura, Andy & their two girls before heading off to Mallory Court.

As the sun continued to blaze gloriously we had just enough time to take a handful or group shots Laura & Andy had requested, & a number of Laura & Andy as the new Mr & Mrs Styring.

The wedding guests were called through for the Wedding breakfast & I was very lucky to have been provided with Lunch also 🙂 … & for any one who know me – I like food 😀

After the speeches Laura had asked if I could stay just a little longer as there was a few extra photos she was really keen to try & capture – I was happy to do so & afterwards I bid my fair well & left Laura, Andy family & friends to party their night away.

Here is just a sneaky peak of their images. The rest of their wedding images we be available to view in their password protected web gallery.

Congratulations to Mr & Mrs Styring. Hope you have a wonderful honeymoon & see you when you get home x

If you or anyone you know is getting married at Hampton Lucy  Church, Mallory Court or any other venue then please do not hesitate to contact me for a chat.  I would love to be party of your special day too.

Coombe Abbey Wedding photography | Marie & Julian’s Wedding

Coombe Abbey Wedding photography | Marie & Julian’s Wedding

Julian & Marie had chosen to have a Coombe Abbey Wedding, holding their special day in Coombe’s Marque on the beautiful East terrace.

I’m always very grateful when i receive a personal recommendation for my wedding photography 🙂 & after been given my details from his friend, Julian had called to talk about booking me as their wedding photographer.

The first thing I remember about Julian was his infectious laugh & how easy it was to chat with him. I knew this would be a lovely wedding to be part of. After we had gone through what he was looking for he also mentioned that he and Marie had wondered about having a wedding videographer.

As well as being Married, Stuart (kettell video productions) & I have worked together for years. Filming & photographing hundreds of weddings together throughout the whole of the UK including many Coombe Abbey Wedding’s.  To have another wonderful opportunity & to both be chosen to be part of Julian’s & Marie’s wedding was great 🙂

What a lovely day -as Stuart & I arrived at Coombe Abbey the Sun was shining, the weather was great & Julian didn’t stop smiling from the moment I saw him step out of the limousine. Marie & her ladies were equally as smiley. 😀

Julian & Marie has chosen to have their entire day filmed & photographed & afterward had asked me to produce a beautiful wedding album.

Below are just a few pages from the gorgeous wedding album I designed for then… & going by the bottle of champaign & very delicious box of choccies that they brought us as thank you gift… they were delighted by their wedding images, album & video.

Victoria Jane Photography -A short preview of my wedding photography

Victoria Jane Photography -A short preview of my wedding photography

Wow were has the time gone? My poor old blog has been rather neglected over the last year … although for a good reason 🙂 I decided to take a little less work on so I could play Mummy a little bit more to our new beautiful daughter Livy, who has just turned 1 !

Were to start ? I have so many fabulous weddings to add and some really exciting corporate jobs I’ve had the honour to photograph over the last year. But Rome wasn’t built in a day and so rather than try rushing to post everything I thought Id have a look back over the last year or so and design a little video showing some of my favourite wedding photographs.

Being a professional Wedding photographer is such a wonderful privilege.  Not only do I get to be part of your special day (& maybe even eat a slice of cake!) but I get to create memories for you that will last a life time… precious memories that you’ll be able to look back on in years to come and smile, and maybe even shed a tear, reminiscing about your amazing day. And I have been lucky enough to have been allowed to create those irreplaceable memories, frozen in time, for hundreds and hundreds of lovely couples.

So how can I choose my favourite images as I must have an archive of 100’s of thousands of images.  Well the honest answer is I couldn’t, as I have too many :-),  so instead I chose a handful of images which hopefully captures who I am a photographer and give you an idea about how passionate I am about what I can do for you. What ever your preferred style, relaxed reportage photography, more classic photography or even unique contemporary photography & I happy to listen to your hopes for your Special day.

I’d love to hear from you if you have an up coming Wedding and would like a professional photographer. From small intimate registry office weddings to Grand Stately Homes, Id love to be part of your special day, capturing & creating life long memories for you, and even more favourite photographs for me!

Camilla & Paddy’s Wedding – St Laurence Church & Stoneleigh Abbey

If it isn’t hard enough planning a wedding … Camilla & Paddy planned their UK wedding whilst living in New Zealand. Camilla’s mother helped with the plans & preparation as she lived much nearer to the venues … Switzerland !

Camilla had chosen to get married to Paddy in St Laurence Parish Church, Bidford-on-Avon followed by the reception at the beautiful Stoneleigh Abbey.  With a week to go the couple had flown in to the UK to finalise all the last minute details and to meet with me to go over their photography ideas (over a very lovely coffee and yummy slice of cake).

Camilla & Paddy were very keen to have some of their photographs taken in the great Library and the grand stair case within Stoneleigh Abbey & even though the weather was superb the indoor decor is stunning to be able to photograph.

Here are just a small selection of the images taken on the day.

Becki & Gareth’s Pre Wedding Photo Shoot at Ettington Chase Hotel in Stratford

With a busy August ahead, July is chocked full of pre wedding meetings & a number of pre-wedding photoshoots.

This weekend was the turn of Becki & Gaz.

I first meet Becki & Gaz around a year ago so it was great to catch up properly, stroll around Ettington Chase hotel & discuss their photographic wish list.

As a wonderful keep-sake, Becki & Gaz were keen to have one of the images taken from this photo shoot as a centrepiece of a photo mount so that their friends & families can sign it on their wedding day  … I’ll look forward to seeing which image they choose 🙂

Becki & Gaz were a great couple to photograph & I’m very much looking to their wedding date later on in August this year !

Natalie and James | Fabulous Wedding Photography at Ettington Park Hotel by Victoria Jane Photography

This was one We had been really looking forward to! Ettington Park hotel in Alderminster near to Stratford upon Avon is a favaourite venue for us as it is where we chose to get married ourselves! When Natalie and James (Jim, to his friends) contacted us and told us where they were getting married we were delighted to talk to them about doing their wedding photography.

The wedding took place yesterday (Sunday 17th April) and it lived up to all expectations. The venue, as always, was beautiful, the guests were lovely, the ushers and best man were comical, lively and in great spirits (as well as being some of the nicest and most considerate guys we’ve met), the bridesmaids were lovely …… and the bride (Natalie) was simply stunning. The cameras loved her, as you’ll see below. Jim was/is very lucky! He’s also got a great personality and so no wonder Natalie fell for him!

On top of all that the weather was just perfect. We had warm temperatures and sunshine, enabling us to enjoy the fabulous Ettington Park hotel grounds all day. Enough chat for now. Let this sample of our wedding photography do the talking ……

The Venue …..

The boys …..

Anyone for Cricket?

The girls …..

A few details ……

The Service …..

Loitering infront of the chapel ……

Some ‘alone time’ …..

The evening celebrations begin …..

Natalie and James are a lovely couple and they had a fantastic day. For us, it was so nice to receive positive comments from several of the guests as we were about to leave at around 10:30pm. We also had a really enjoyable day ….. and now the real work starts! We’ve got hundreds of great photographs to edit, and to be honest we are spoilt for choice.

Ettington Park hotel is a dream venue, both for the bride and groom and for a photographer. The photographs above are just a very small selection …. just to whet your appetite. If you are planning a wedding at Ettington Park hotel (or similar venue in Warwickshire or the West Midlands) please don’t hesitate to contact us to discuss your photography requirements.

Congratulations to Mr and Mrs Shirley! I can’t wait to present you with many more images from your special day.
