Sophie & Matt’s Knowle Church & Mallory Court Wedding

Sophie & Matt’s Knowle Church & Mallory Court Wedding

Sophie & Matt were married at Knowle Church in Knowle, Warwickshire, before celebrating at the beautiful Mallory Court wedding venue in Leamington.

Sophie & Matt had popped over to see us a few weeks back to go through their wedding details so it was lovely to catch up with Sophie & meet her Mom & Dad & bridesmaids at their family home for the preparations.

Within moments of walking in we were made to feel so incredibly welcome & as the atmosphere buzzed with excitement, & a little lady who could dab extremely well (I still cant seem to master that- think it must be an age thing lol) I got to play with all their lovely shoes, jewellery & of course Sophie stunning (& beautifully sparkly) wedding dress.

Stuart had been booked to film their wedding & I would be photographing, so again I got to spend the whole day with my husband, doing the job I love!

We left the girls & headed to the very picturesque Knowle Parish Church just down the road to meet with Matt & the boy. As well as some more traditional photos the boys were happy for a bit of fun & with time to spare we were able to get some more informal lovely reportage images of friends and family.

Sophies’s bridesmaids & mom arrived in style, first, in a beautiful Vintage Rolls Royce Landaulette. Followed by Sophie & her dad as the Rolls made round trip.

Following the beautiful service we captured a number of group shots requested by Sophie & Matt before a fabulous confetti send off & glasses of bubbly .

We moved on from Knowle Parish Church to Mallory Court for the remainder of the wedding. Mallory is a magnificent manor house hotel in Leamington Spa, set in 10 acres of grounds, is the epitome of a quintessential English country house hotel. Ive been lucky enough to photograph a number of Mallory Court Wedding, the last only being a few weeks ago.  It never fails to amaze me how quickly Mallory Court changes through out the year & how the photo opportunities change too.

Before the wedding breakfast we completed some fun friends images and some more arty wedding photographs with Sophie and Matt with the plan to complete the remainder after the meal when it would have also cooled down a little. Again we had several locations planned and ideas so we were able to quickly run through a number of photographs with them both inside and out before their evening guests arrived. With guests being entertained by the beautiful music provided by the lovely ladies from Sorelli Ensemble I utilised the remained of the time before the meal to capture some more candid images.

While Sophie & Matt enjoyed their wedding breakfast Stuart & I had a bit of a breather.  We had been kindly provided with the most delicious – humungous (understatement) plate of fish & chips ! Now for anyone who knows me – I like my food- but even I struggled to finish this mouthwatering plate of yumminess … but I did 😀

The speeches were everything they should be, fun, incredibly emotional & lovely & once finished guests enjoyed the beautiful summer evening in the grounds whilst the room was turned around for the evenings entertainment.

We stayed to capture the cake cut & first dance plus a couple of arty night time image.

Below are some of my favourite images from the day & will hopefully give the new Mr & Mrs Vincent a chance to see a small handful of their finally images (I’m feel very sorry for them… stuck on a beautiful honeymoon island with limited wifi 😀 .. not that I’m a touch jealous :-D)

Congratulations to you both, Stuart & I will look forward to seeing you with your photos & video when you return x

Laura & Nathan’s Warwickshire wedding- Hatton Church & Village Hall

Laura & Nathan’s Warwickshire wedding- Hatton Church & Village Hall

“Vicky was fantastic on the day and photographed every single detail and captured our day perfectly, she put me and my husband at ease, even when I was near tears (I got stung by a bee during our photos!)…We’d highly recommend Vicky and her work to anyone.”

Laura & Nathan’s Warwickshire wedding was to take place at the picturesque Holy Trinity Church in Hatton  & Hatton Village Hall.  Both of which are literally on our doorstep.

Stuart & I have known Laura’s family for many years & had the privilege of photographing & filming Laura’s sisters wedding a few years ago. We were very excited & honoured to be asked to photograph & film Laura & Nathan’s up coming wedding.

Laura, like her sister Alissa, are both incredibly creative so we knew that Hatton village Hall would be beautifully decorated through-out & with the addition of alcoholic/cocktail flavoured ice-cream we couldn’t go far wrong :-)!

Laura spent the morning calmly getting ready at her family home, with the rest of her bridal party & family. I love being able to capture the preparation & all of the beautiful details at the beginning of a wedding, I’m definitely like a magpie – attracted to all the pretty sparkly things :-). We left Laura & her girls to finish getting ready & headed off to meet Nathan & his Groom’s men at Holt Trinity Church. I truly feel it’s important to photograph both the bridal prep & the groom & grooms men as this is the only part of the wedding that the bride & groom each miss out on during their special day, as they are not together at this point. As anyone who has got married will tell you, time seems to speed up 3 fold & the day passes in what seems to be a blink of an eye. I want to make the very most of capturing all those important memory for you so that you will be able to enjoy looking back on in months & years to come.

After a fabulous service, which included a beautiful acoustic guitar solo, played & sang by Laura’s Brother we made our way outside to photograph the family & group shots, requested by Laura & Nathan.  We bid fair well to the guests, who all made their way to the Village hall (to tuck into the extremely delicious ice cream!) while we whisked Laura & Nathan off to an idillic, little known hidden garden in Warwick. We were able to spend a little time wandering around the grounds, taking some beautiful pictures of the couple. A number of the images I  captured of Laura & Nathan are some of my favourites to date :-).  They were such an relaxed couple to work with & even after Laura had been attacked & stung viciously by the largest bee I have ever seen (I kid you not!) she still managed to smile & carried on.

A wonderful meal & incredibly funny speeches followed (at one point I thought Laura may die of embarrassment during her dad’s speech :-D) . The evening entertainment took us through the remainder of the night, with the band making sure there wasn’t a still foot in the house, with the dance floor crowded from the first moment they struck a chord .

As the evening drew to an end of a most fantastic day (apart from the bee) Mr & Mrs Walsh were given a tremendous sparkly – sparkler send off.

Congratulations to Laura & Nathan, both Stuart & I wish you both the best for your married life together.

New Years Eve Wedding at Coombe Abbey, Coventry – Laura & Steve’s Wedding

After photographing probably one of my longest weddings to date which spanning a whole year ! yes – a whole year !! (well ok technically 9am 31st Dec 2016 – 1am 1st January 2017 😉 ) I Just couldn’t help myself by skipping right to the very last image I photographed & editing it first.  Why? because I knew it would be one of my favourites & I was so excited to have a play with this sparkly night image.

I will be editing the rest of Laura & Steve’s New year’s eve wedding images taken at their recent wedding held at Coombe Abbey, a beautiful & unique country house hotel which I have had the pleasure of photographing at on numerous occasions.

Can’t wait to share some more when Laura & Steve have had chance to view them 🙂

Wedding Photography Wethele Manor Warickshire- David & Ilsa’s

Stuart & I have know Dave for a number of years after being privileged enough to photograph for the Peugeot Citroen DS Group for years. So to be asked to photography his & Ilsa’s wedding was simply the icing on the cake 🙂

Dave & Ilsa had chosen to get married at the idyllic 16th Century Wethele Manor Hotel .

Wethele Manor is a wonderfully family run exclusive wedding venue located just 2 miles from Royal Leamington Spa in the heart of Warwickshire. After photographing weddings there on numerous occasions I have always been impressed at the level of service offered by Simon & his team.

After spending the morning photographing Ilsa & her children in their preparation we then moved to Wethele Manor to meet with Dave & his best man.

Bridal Preparation

Wethele ManorGroom & Best Man Photo

As always, the setting had been beautifully decorated in preparation for the Wedding breakfast & after spending some time photographing all the small details which makes each wedding unique Stuart & I got ready for Ilsa’s arrival.

After a lovely emotional service, group & family photos we took Dave & Ilsa off around the grounds. Wow what a truly fun couple! Not only did their joy & complete Love for each other shine through but it made it such an overwhelming pleasure to photograph them both together. Some people & destined to be together & it was obvious that Dave & Ilsa certainly were 🙂

Above are just a few or the hundreds of images Stuart & I capture during Dave & Ilsa’s wedding.

If you are getting married at Wethele Manor or another Warwickshire/ West Midlands Venue please do not hesitate to contact me as I would love to chat to you about photographing your special day 🙂

Wedding Photography Knowle Parish Church & Nuthurst Grange – Annette & Daniel

Wedding Photography Knowle Parish Church & Nuthurst Grange – Annette & Daniel

Wedding Photography Knowle Parish Church

Annette & Daniel had chosen to get married in the the picturesque Knowle Parish Church followed by their reception at the beautiful Nuthurst Grange Country House Hotel in Warwickshire.

I was really looking forward to their wedding as not only did Annette and Daniel seem a lovely couple, but I hadn’t photographed at Knowle Parish Church for a while, so it would be nice to go back. I was also a little apprehensive as their would be a lot to capture, which wouldn’t normally faze me, however I was nearly 8 months pregnant ! … Not to worry though as I’m fortunate enough to have a number of 2nd photographers as well as a fabulous friend – Lisa, who is also a professional photographer, and on this occasion she had very kindly offered to come along with me to save me racing around too much :-).

Annette and Daniel had asked me to cover their wedding from Bridal Prep through to their 1st Dance. They had also opted for a bespoke digital story book album. I love creative beautiful wedding albums as not only do I really get to show the best of my creativity but I know that the Bride & Groom will have a stunning keepsake to hand which then can look through & reminisce over at any time 🙂

After Annette and Daniel had had chance to look through all of their images they whittled it down to just over 100 they’d like in their album. I was then able to create a beautiful personalised design, which told the story of their special day.

Once I’ve created the designed, I use the leading UK based album crafting company, who hand make every album to order and although not cheap they are simply stunning & definitely worth every penny!  It was great to be able to catch up with Annette a few weeks later to go through their design with her before getting their album made.

Here are a just a few images from their wedding.

If you or anyone you know is getting married please do not hesitate to get in touch so we and can have chat about your wedding photography
