Ellie & Luke’s Wedding St John Baptist Church Berkswell

Life’s little coincidences never cease to amaze me.  A number of years back I visited a salon to have a back massage to elevate life’s little aches and pains from carrying 2 cameras and various lenses around for 12-14 hour days.  I don’t often treat myself but decided to make an exception after a particularly busy month of weddings.  What does this have to do with Ellie and Lukes wedding you ask? Well it just so happen’s that the Salon I visited belongs to Ellie’s Family and a year after visiting, Ellie had remember me and phoned me to book me for her wedding 🙂 even more coincidentally Stuart and I had just moved to Balsall Common are were now virtually neighbours.  Ellie & Luke”s wedding service was to be held at the picturesque St John Baptist Church followed by the reception at Ellie’s mom & dads home.

When I met with Ellie & Luke before their wedding it was obvious that this was going to be Ellie’s dream wedding. She’s mad on Pink as well as all things pretty. It was clear that this was going to be a really fun wedding & as I left Ellie’s mom had a quite word to say that they had a few surprises in store including a horse drawn carriage ride and fireworks at the end of the night.

The day of their wedding arrived and with deep blue skies and perfect wispy white clouds I made my way to Ellie’s house to meet her and her entourage of bridesmaids.  I had great fun photographing all the girls getting ready as well as all the fantastic details of their day from the dress and shoes to flowers and finally the arrival of the stunning white horse drawn carriage …. I was in my element 🙂

From there I met Luke & all his many groomsmen at St John Baptist Church in Berkswell, and had real fun getting some nice formal and great informal photos.

After a lovely service conducted by Mark, a number of group shots and a large amount of confetti, Ellie & Luke departed for their horse drawn carriage ride.

We headed back to their house where we met back up with their family and friend for their reception.  The marquee was themed out in pink and after a michael buble tribute singer and some very emotional speeches the evening kicked off with more live music followed by Ellie & Luke’s 1st dance.  As the evening entertainment drew to an end we were all ushered outside for the surprise firework display…. what a wonderful way to finish this lovely wedding.

I know Ellie & Luke, their family & friends had an amazing day. Here are a just a few of the images I took.  Happy viewing

Cassie & Nick’s Wedding in Charlecote, Straford

Cassie & Nick booked me for their Wedding quite along time before they were due to get married so it was great to catch back up with them a few weeks before and chat about their day & what they had planned.

Cassie got ready at home & we met her and the girls there.  It was a great morning & I was able to photograph not only Cassie having her hair & make-up but also all the little detail, which makes each Wedding special & unique.  I also love getting to look at the dress, shoes & sparkly jewellery 🙂

After leaving Cassie to finish off her final preparations we headed to The Charlecote Pheasant hotel in Stratford to meet Nick, his Groomsmen & Family.

After the ceremony  at The Charlecote Pheasant hotel, Cassie & Nick had planned a short car ride & bride & groom photo shoot at the beautiful Tudor House & Gardens of Charlecote Park.

After having the opportunity to spend some  quiet time to together (+ me & Stuart with our 4 cameras lol) we headed back to The Charlecote Pheasant hotel for some group shots & a quick cake cut before the speeches.

I really enjoyed photographing Cassie & Nick’s Wedding .  They were a lovely easy going couple to photograph &  it was great fun looking back through the photos we took on the day & editing them.

Here are a few images from their day.

Michelle & Anthony’s Wedding at Warwick House

I so love being able to combine something I’m passionate about, & that’s having the opportunity to take great photos & creating an everlasting memory of someone’s special day, whilst being part of their wedding day.

Michelle & Anthony’s wedding was being held at Warwick house & they had chosen to hold their ceremony outside in the garden’s gazebo.  They certainly had the weather on their side.

I spent the morning with Michelle as she got ready in the bridal suite.  I always love this part of the day, particularly as I get to play with lots of nice shoes & sparkly jewellery as well as being one of the 1st people to see the beautiful wedding gown.

Once I had spent some time with Michelle I headed off to the gardens to get some photos of Anthony with his best man.

I spent the day with Michelle & Anthony , photographing through to their speeches.

I couldn’t have wished for a more lovely couple, & equally nice friends & family.  It was a delight to photograph their wedding & I’m now very much looking forward to seeing Michelle & Anthony in the near future as I photograph their cousins wedding, which is also taking place at Warwick house & again when their friends getting married, at Ardencote Manor in summer 2014! … yes we really do get booked up that far in advance 🙂

Camilla & Paddy’s Wedding – St Laurence Church & Stoneleigh Abbey

If it isn’t hard enough planning a wedding … Camilla & Paddy planned their UK wedding whilst living in New Zealand. Camilla’s mother helped with the plans & preparation as she lived much nearer to the venues … Switzerland !

Camilla had chosen to get married to Paddy in St Laurence Parish Church, Bidford-on-Avon followed by the reception at the beautiful Stoneleigh Abbey.  With a week to go the couple had flown in to the UK to finalise all the last minute details and to meet with me to go over their photography ideas (over a very lovely coffee and yummy slice of cake).

Camilla & Paddy were very keen to have some of their photographs taken in the great Library and the grand stair case within Stoneleigh Abbey & even though the weather was superb the indoor decor is stunning to be able to photograph.

Here are just a small selection of the images taken on the day.

Louise & Bret’s Wedding at The Heart of England.

I always jump at the chance to work with Stuart (Kettell Video Productions).  Not only do we get to spend the day together but I love working with him as well.  This wedding was no exception, especially as it was for one of four daughters from a lovely Coventry family that we have had the pleasure of photographing all of their weddings, anniversaries & christenings, over many years.

Louise and Bret had chosen The Heart of England , near Fillongley, as their wedding venue.

It was a joy to photograph Louise & Bret’s wedding, especially as we are always made to feel so welcome by their friends & family.  And just for something different we  got to film & photograph the newly wed couple and their entourage abroad a pirate’s ship 🙂

Here are just a few of the images we took, capturing their special day.

Amy & Dave’s Wedding by Victoria Jane Photography

Amy & Dave’s Wedding was a pleasure to photograph.  I’m so pleased that I could be part of their special day.

Amy & Dave had chosen to get married at St Mary’s Church, Clifton On Dunsmore, followed by Brownsover Hall.  Amy had asked me to meet her at Brownsover Hall where she was getting ready with her family, including her lovely little bridesmaids.

I left Amy to finish getting ready & headed to St Mary’s to meet Dave & his Groom’s men. I spent about 20 minutes photographing the lads before also capturing the setting of the Church & various personal details of their wedding.

Amy & Dave v2Page004

Amy & Dave had chosen to have some of their photos at the Church followed by more at Brownsover.  A particular request from Amy way my ‘confetti shot’.  Amy had seen this shot from one of my other weddings & had really like it.  It’s a little time consuming to edit  but the result was definitely worth it :).  I know Amy & Dave loved it too as they chose to have a large canvas of it for their living room wall.

Once I had photographed all the requested group shots I took Amy & Dave off for a short time to capture some beautiful pictures of the newlyweds together.  They’re we a great couple to photograph & Amy didn’t stop smiling throughout 🙂

We finished with a picture of them cutting the cake before the wedding breakfast.

The images above are just a small selection taken of the images taken on the day.  Amy & Dave have a password protected gallery on my main site http://www.victoriajanephotography.co.uk.  If you are a friend or family of Amy & Dave please ask them for the password so you can view the rest of the images from the day.

Welcome Baby Grace :)

Our New Arrival

Well after deciding to keep us waiting for nearly 2 weeks, Grace finally made her appearance :).  Stuart & I are overjoyed & are very grateful to everyone for their kind wishes & gifts.

Jessica (now 5 yrs old) has taken to her big sister’s role brilliantly, particularly in the important duty of deciding what outfit Grace should wear that day! 🙂

I’m now taking a little break until the Summer, however if you’d like to contact me to chat about an upcoming wedding, event or photo shoot then please still feel free to email me on vicky@victoriajanephotography.co.uk.  I’ll do my best to get back to you as quickly as possible but please forgive me if I’m not quite as quick as I should be 🙂

Jane & Stuart’s Wedding at Bosworth Hall – Wedding Photography by Victoria Jane Photography

The day of Jane & Stuart’s wedding arrived & with a glorious sunny day ahead we made our way to meet Jane at Bosworth hall. We had been asked to photography Jane & Stuart’s wedding right from early morning up until the evening celebrations.  After their pre wedding meeting a few weeks earlier it became clear that not only would Jane be the star of the day but their beautiful daughter Jorga would be too :).  Jane & Stuart have a large family & group of friends & a good number of which we’re children.  Jane & Stuart were very keen for the children to be captured naturally, enjoying themselves, as much as possible through out the day. With a large venue, big grounds & lots of children it made it essential that there were two photographers.  Jane & Stuart knew that I often have an assistant photographer with me & knowing also that my little girl Jessica was about the same age as Jorga, were confident that I would be up to the task in hand.  With this in mind we made our way to the bridal suite to meet Jane & the 6 young bridesmaids – Chaos I hear you say? – we’ll to our surprise – exactly the opposite :).  Jane was a very calm, organised bride & not only did she have time to get ready herself but with a little help from family, helped with the 6 bridesmaids & still had time to pose for photos !!

Jane & Stuart’s wedding was a wonderful wedding from start to finish.  Family & friends thoroughly enjoyed themselves (as did I 🙂 ), there was lots of smiles from the children who behaved themselves all day & we had a fantastic time being part of their special day.

Here is just a small selection of photos from Jane & Stuarts Wedding at Bosworth Hall.

Tess & Tom | Wedding photography at The Windmill Village |

Tess and Tom are such a lovely couple that we couldn’t help but smile most of the day.  The wedding ceremony and celebrations all took place at The Windmill Village Hotel, Coventry. We were photographing their wedding right from Tess getting ready until late into the evening celebrations. Tess & Tom were very keen to have not only group & posed shots but as much reportage style photography as time allowed … needless to say, with guests enjoying themselves & the weather on our side, guests spent as much time chatting, drinking & laughing outside, as they could … so plenty of photo opportunities 🙂 !!  Here are just a few photos from their day! ……..

If you are thinking of getting married and you want a fun photographer who offers flexibility along with creativity please give me a call on 07739096632.

Stuart Kettell takes Macmillan fundraising to new heights

Yes hes back again & this year his 2012 challenge is even more crazy than last year!!

For several years Stuart has devised a ‘Mad Fool’ task that he does to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. His past challenges have included cycling on a replica Penny Farthing from Lands End to John O’Groats and Kayaking across the channel from France to Coventry , he suspended himself, David Blaine style, inside a Perspex box suspended above Broadgate in Coventry city centre for a week & last year he ran 7 marathons in 7 days in a giant hamster wheel!

Over the last year Stuart Kettell has meticulous calculated, plotted & planned this year’s 2012 “MAD Fool” challenge, aimed to raise money & awareness for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The idea … To be suspended for up to 12 hours a day … by just a big bunch of helium filled balloons … 14 meters in the air !!! … MAD

His Challenge started at 12pm Saturday 3rd of March & continues until midday Saturday 10th March & can be found in West Orchards Shopping Centre in Coventry.

As with previous years I was happy to photograph the launch & will be photographing Stuart’s mad challenge through out the week.

Below are a number of images I took from the launch on Saturday

To follow his progress please go to http://www.willthemadfoolmakeit.co.uk where webcams are being updated daily

+ please please help him reach his target for Macmillan by texting your donation. Text STUK50 to 70070 with the amount £1-£10. or go & see him in West Orchards … you can’t miss him … he’s dressed all in green, has green hair … oh … & is being dangled 30ft in the air by a massive multicoloured cluster of 25 x 8ft helium filled weather balloons !!!
