Jane & Stuart’s Pre Wedding Shoot – Bosworth Hall, Warwickshire.

Jane & Stuart, along with their gorgeous daughter met up with me a few weeks before their wedding to discuss their wedding photographs in detail, to view the locations and to have a fun photo shoot session to get them used to being the main attractions in-front of the camera.  They are getting married at Bosworth Hall in Warwickshire.

Here goes with a small selection of the photos I took on the day, I think they’ll love the images & little Jorga will make a beautiful flower girl for her mum 🙂

Steph Dean & Family – Home Photo Shoot

Over Christmas I had the opportunity to photograph a lovely family at their home in Kenilworth.

After much bribery with biscuits & children’s tv (thank goodness for Justin’s House) we finally managed to get all the kids- big & little 🙂 !! to sit for a group shot & with two wonderfully active children that’s no mean feet !

Today was a great chance to play with my new contemporary wall paper backdrop & wooden flooring as well as my all white backdrop.

Rona’s Birthday Celebration – Alveston Manor, Stratford

Jenny, Rona’s daughter, contacted me after reading my blog, to book me to take some family photos at Rona’s birthday gathering. Rona, Jenny & her family, her brother & his family & Rona’s sister travelled from all around the country to met up for Rona’s birthday.  Jenny was particularly keen to capture these family photos as the family haven’t had the opportunity to get together all as a big group for a number of years.

It was a very bright & crisp Saturday at the end of November. We all met at The Alveston manor in Stratford Upon Avon to do the photography.  This was a great venue for the photos as we were able to stay in doors (& keep warm !) for the larger group shots & then venture outside for a few smaller family group photos.

Leigh & Family – Home Photo Shoot

Any one who knows me will know that I’m very much a “people person”, so how cool’s my job ? … particularly when I get to photograph a fun loving family such as Leigh & her family.

Happy Belated New Year :)

After a fantastic Summer, Autumn & Christmas of photography I thought I’d start to catch up & update my poor neglected blog 🙂

I had the pleasure of photographing some wonderful Weddings right through until two days before the New Year. In between my weddings I’ve had the opportunity to photograph a number of families as well as being back at the Birmingham Hilton Metropole with their 2011 Christmas & New Year events & ball.

Beth and Steve Got Married | Wedding Photographs by Victoria Jane Photography at St. Mary’s church in Chipping Norton and then Stone Barn near Burford

I was thrilled when Steve contacted me to ask me to photograph his and Beth’s wedding. Steve had been a fabulous usher at a wedding that I’d photographed last year and so he knew, first hand, how we work. It was, of course, a great compliment that he contacted me. The wedding was at two lovely venues in the Cotswolds: St. Mary’s church in Chipping Norton and a celebration later at Stone Barn near to Burford. We agreed to be present until the end of the speeches at the start of the wedding breakfast meal. Beth and Steve originally wanted to book us for the whole day but unfortunately this wasn’t possible on this occasion as we were already booked to travel over night to another wedding the following day in South Wales. On the day, we were blessed with good weather, a fabulous couple (Beth was a wedding photographer’s dream in every way!) and some picturesque backdrops at Stone barn. Here’s a taster of their special day ……

We thoroughly enjoyed photographing Beth and Steve’s wedding day. St. Mary’s church was lovely and Stone barn was a bit of a revelation. I’m known mostly as a Warwickshire Wedding Photographer but as you can see I am prepared to travel too. Craig and Alice’s Wedding | Photography in Harbury, Warwickshire by Victoria Jane Photography

Some weddings can be described in only 3 words; Fun, Fun, FUN !!!

When Alice and Craig met me to discuss their photography I was in no doubt that this was going to be a fabulous day ….. and I wasn’t wrong! They were a lovely couple with a lively set of guests and bridesmaids and groomsmen who were also up for a laugh.

It was really interesting to see some different things on the day that had been carefully planned: the bride taking her pet sheep for a walk, our photo booth at night time in the stables, A road trip with a horse and carriage, Sumo wrestling suits for the guests, Giant Jenga on the lawn etc.

Anyway, enough of the chat, lets allow the photos to do the talking …….

As you can see, I was given a bit of freedom to think up some interesting photo opportunities. Craig and Alice were very willing to do something different and the photography became one of the entertainments of the day! We were there for around 15 hours from early morning to late at night. It was a fabulous day and I hope you enjoyed the images I created.

Wedding Fayre at the Menzies Welcombe Hotel, Stratford Upon Avon | Display by Victoria Jane Photography

Sunday was a bit of a change for me! I’ve had an exhausting, brilliant and very busy summer and it was nice to be able to tell future brides and grooms about my photography services. I was invited to display my sample albums and wedding photography prints at the very impressive Menzies Welcombe Hotel on the outskirts of Stratford Upon Avon in Warwickshire.

It was a busy afternoon and I had the pleasure of talking at length to around 30 future brides and grooms. This is a part of my job that I love and it’s a great opportunity to find out about what excites couples who are in the planning stage of their weddings. This morning (Tuesday) I’ve already been contacted by one of the couples who I met and they are keen to talk to me more 🙂

I was pleased to display a new range of prints from recent weddings. It’s good to constantly review and renew what you do in order to stay ahead of the game. I got some great encouraging comments from many couples and, very pleasingly, from other exhibitors who are used to seeing other photographer’s work.

Laura and Gavin | Victoria Jane Wedding Photography at St. Mary’s Church in Whitton in Shropshire

This is a wedding that I had been looking forward to photographing for months! Laura’s family church, St. Mary’s in Whitton in Shropshire, was the venue for the ceremony followed by celebrations for all the guests and family in their gardens and fabulous marquee. It was a real pleasure to get to know the family and to capture the joy of Laura and Gav’s wedding day.

It was clear that this was a real local family occasion with lots of effort going into the little things that make the day so personal and special. We made sure that we came away with hundreds of images that captured the whole story of the day. They are going to love their album once it’s complete!

Liz and Doug got Married! | Wedding Photos by Victoria Jane Photography at Walton Hall in Warwickshire

Take one great couple, mix in a fantastic venue, order some early summer sun, add a dash of lawn games and some fun guests ….. and what do you get? – A great wedding day for all!

I really like photographing weddings at Walton hall. It’s a spacious venue with great opportunities for photographs inside and out. As Liz and Doug were lucky enough to have such nice weather on their wedding day we spent most of our time outside when doing the photographs. The whole wedding was held at Walton hall with Liz arriving in a very posh Bentley!  After a lovely marriage ceremony everybody went outside for refreshments and to relax. We did some group photos as requested by Liz and Doug and then took a few minutes for photos with the happy couple alone (and a few paparazi with some nice cameras of their own tagging along too!). Meanwhile, back at the ranch, the guests enjoyed a few ‘friendly’ games of table football and croquet on the lawn in the sunshine. We were asked to stay until the end of the speeches which were very funny and we finished our photography coverage with the cutting of their fab cake!
