Love Soup | Product Photography by Victoria Jane Photography

Food! …… That’s one of my favourite subjects, so when I was asked to photograph the ingredients for some very special soup dishes and the final products themselves I was keen to take it on. The photographs are going to be published in a new book which is being published in aid of charity. Here’s a small selection of the images that are shortlisted for use in the book ……

I’ve really enjoyed doing this photography, from trudging through local allotments to loitering in vegetable markets, to watching and photographing the highly skilled chefs in Millsy’s restaurant in Earlsdon, Coventry. I can’t wait to see the finished product in print.

Primarily my business is wedding and children’s/family photography. However, I’m up for most things and it’s good to have some variety. I know my client on this shoot was thrilled with my work and has already asked me to do more. If you’ve got a need for some corporate or product photography please call me to discuss. My rates are very reasonable and I always go the extra mile to make sure I achieve what you want.

Ettington Park Hotel | Wedding Photography Venue by Victoria Jane Photography

We had a rare hour off yesterday and so we decided to pay a visit to the very lovely Ettington Park Hotel near to Stratford upon Avon. We know it well and it’s a special place for us because it’s where Gary and I got married in 2006. We are photographing another wedding there later in the year. I Can’t wait!

Ettington Park Hotel set in acres of beautiful grounds – perfect wedding venue

Front view of Ettington Park Hotel – Main Entrance

The above photograph shows the very lovely small chapel in the fabulous grounds of Ettington Park Hotel. Ideal for blessings.

The architecture allows some lovely shots that complement any wedding album design

A relatively plain old door you might think .. but just ne of the wonderful backdrops available for a bride in her dress!

I’ve done a couple of weddings at Ettington Park hotel this year and I’ve got one more booked. I absolutely love the place, it’s a photographer’s dream and speaking from personal experience it’s the perfect venue for a very special wedding day. I’m currently looking to do more photography there. If you are getting married at Ettington Park hotel I’m seriously considering offering a special-priced package for one lucky couple who books me and then agrees to my using their images as part of my public portfolio. If this would be of interest to you please contact me to have a proper discussion!

Loton Park Hillclimb – Some Snapshots (non Professional quality)

Last Sunday Gary (my husband, who also does photography with me) took his old Canon 350d camera along to the Loton Park Hill Climb near to Shrewsbury. He wasn’t seriously attempting to do ‘proper shots’ and the camera is no where near the standard that we’d normally use but he still took some nice shots. Here’s a small selection from the hundreds of photos he took………

TVR’s galore from Vixens to Griffiths, Tamoras and T350s

Purple, Not a typical TVR colour maybe …. but you should have heard it!

Loads of little Pugs. Trying really hard and just about with 4 wheels on the tarmac!

Little Vauxhall Corsa’s were also on show

Lifting a wheel in a fabulously quick Lotus Elise – Winner of class I think, and female driver!

Proving that modern Fords are still serious competitors. This White RS Turbo lifting a rear wheel at the final corner.

Nice to see the last MG saloons being put to good use. Striking colours too!

One of several Escorts including Old RS2000s and Mexicos. Great to see them still alive and kicking some of the modern upstarts!

I’m not sure about the times but the older RWD Escorts still seemed competitive around the bends.

If you needed waking up this was the one to do it! I believe it won it’s class and the Audi Quattro was a sight and sound to behold. Cackle, burble, bang … and that was just standing still! What a rocket…. no wonder the Group B rally cars of the 80s were banned for being too fast!

Saturday, apperently was the day for Westfields and Caterham 7s but there were still a few on show on Sunday …. and could they shift? Don’t know about this Orange No.59 but no wonder they are favourites among kit car enthusiasts.

Quite a few single seaters on show and of course they were very quick. Not all was well on this run though …. an argument with the cones about 1/4 of the way up the hill but he still carried on!

Missed out on what this was! ~Lovely car and the driver really gave it some stick!  Please let me know if you know what it is.

– And to finish, We’ve got a soft spot for TVRs so I thought I’d finish this snap shot with this lovely example

If you were at Loton Park for the hill climb on Sunday and your car is featured here please make a comment. If you were there and your car isn’t featured we may still have an image. Let us know it’s number and we’ll have a look. The images are also available to buy if you are interested. I can upload to my main website if you want to order anything……Just let me know.

I know Gary had a great time at this really friendly event and he wished he’d taken his pro camera and lenses …. but I suspect he’ll be back there in September.

Fabulous Cushions – Product Photography by Victoria Jane Photography

I’m known primarily as a wedding and children’s and family photographer. But I do other things as well! Yesterday I had the pleasure of photographing some really interesting products produced by the very talented Lorna Syson of Lorna Syson Textiles, based in Coventry . This is the second time that I’ve done product shots for her to include in her brochures, on her website and for submission to magazines and newspapers who do articles about her work.

All of the bespoke cushions and the fabric wall art in this first photo were created by Lorna.

These bespoke products are hand-made by Lorna using a totally organic material made from nettles of all things! I can testify to how beautiful they are …. and very soft to the touch!

I’m also really pleased that Lorna used many of my original images of her products in some of her recent national and international press articles. Most of the images shown on the Living magazine were created by me ….

If you’re interested in finding out more about Lorna’s work and bespoke products you can view her website here … Lorna Syson Textiles

I’m really looking forward to working with Lorna again soon and I can’t wait to see what she creates next!

Angie and Dom at Warwick Register Office and the Saxon Mill

From time to time I get asked to do weddings for other photographers. It was a real pleasure to take on the photography for Angie and Dominic who got married at Warwick Register office and then celebrated the rest of their day at the Saxon Mill just outside Warwick.

Angie and Dom were an absolutely lovely couple who responded well to the camera and had a very welcome laid back, easy going approach. Here’s a few taster images for them to look at. I’m sure they’ll be delighted with the photos and I’ll be processing the rest of the images and passing them on to the photographer who they booked with in the next day or two.

Best Man being nice to the Groom (For once!)

When I process images for my own clients or for other photographers I like to add a few effects. This shot lent itself perfectly to my ‘colour-popping’ technique.

Angie's Supporting team look fab!

First glimpse of Angie when she arrives

Warwick register office, like many others, have strict rules about what Photographers can and can’t do during the service. I always make sure I do the most I can without upsetting anybody! One shot I can take is the exchange of the rings ….

Dom hopes it fits!

Signing of the register

Here’s one of my trademark images. If guests are in my way I’ll make use of their image …. just a bit of fun!

Guests can be helpful with their cameras!

A very happy family! Angie, Dom and Heath

Some register offices have very little in the way of greenery to take nice outdoor photos. Warwick register office is one of the nicer ones ….

And yes, I do colour them all in! See below!

Confetti galore!

Some time alone!

The Saxon Mill gives some nice photo opportunities ….

Bridge at the Saxon Mill

Sorry Dom, all eyes on Angie!

Angie looked stunning on the day as I think you’ll agree in these shots.

Pooh Sticks, anyone?

A little time to reflect

I really enjoyed doing this wedding for Angie and Dom and their lovely guests. I hope you’ve enjoyed looking at these taster images. I’ll be passing all of these images and quite a few more onto their photographer for him to prepare their album (if that’s what they choose). Meanwhile, I hope this gives you more of a flavour of my style of photography.

If you know of anyone who needs a wedding photographer or a family portrait photographer in Warwickshire or anywhere in the Midlands I can also be booked directly under my own business name (Victoria Jane Photography) on 07739096632 or by email on vicky@victoriajanephotography.co.uk

5 Minute Photos!

We visited some old friends in Staffordshire yesterday and I took my camera. I grabbed the chance to take a few snaps of their boys. The whole session only took 5 minutes but I’m pleased with the images I got. Some are shown below:

Bubble Fun!

I'm the main man!

No! - I am!

These boys were great! Very co-operative for the whole 5 minutes! Not bad considering there were footballs, trikes, bikes and spades to play with!

I love working with children of all ages and I usually manage to achieve very good results within a few minutes. Contact me if you are interested in doing the same with your family. Tel: 07739096632

Sally and Andy – Pre wedding Shoot

I met Sally and Andy yesterday at their wedding venue in Honiley near to Kenilworth. We spent a couple of hours discussing their plans for their special day and the photographs they would like me to get. We had a good look at the church and took some practice shots to get them used to being in-front of the camera. They were naturals, great for a laugh with ideas of their own and I know that we’ll have a fantastic time when their wedding day arrives. As you can see from some of the images below, the camera loves them! I Can’t wait to see them on their wedding day and from what they were telling me I think their guests are in for a real treat!

Beautiful Little Church

Just Practising!

Its hard to keep the camera still when you're laughing so much!

Happy Couple!

Wrapped up warm!

Here you are Andy - you asked for it! - 'in joke!!'

Sally and Andy can view more of their images on the password protected area of my main website. Only they have the password. My website is www.victoriajanephotography.co.uk

On their wedding day my husband Gary and I will both be there. Gary often attends with a second camera and different set of lenses. This allows more photos from a variety of angles. He often also gets the informal shots, usually without guests even knowing he’s there! This is one of the advantages we offer compared to photographers who work completely on their own.

Faye and Ollie – Wedding at Charlecote Pheasant Hotel

We had a great time with Faye and Ollie and around 100 guests at their wedding a couple of weeks ago. The venue was Charlecote Pheasant Hotel near to Stratford upon Avon. It was a sunny and slightly windy day and proved quite challenging in terms of the bright light with harsh shadows continually changing but I’m really pleased with the images we got on the day. I’ve just uploaded about 350 images that I’ve specially chosen for them to choose from for their album. Here are a few ‘teasers’!
