Victoria Jane photography specialises in providing high quality wedding and children’s / family photography services throughout the Midlands and Warwickshire. We will also undertake all sorts of corporate photography throughout the Midlands and Warwickshire region. At weddings we like to provide a mix of modern, fun and contemporary photography along-side more traditional shots. I am extremely flexible in my approach and can accomodate most photography styles that my clients ask me for. This page contains photographs of ‘real people’ (not professional models!) whose weddings in the Warwickshire and Midlands areas I’ve photographed in recent months or people who I’ve done family photo shoots or corporate photography for.
Lets start with some of my images from recent weddings ….
Firstly, a few brides and grooms - Just to whet your appetite! Please Scroll down to view ….
Now for a little information about what I do: I’ll take photographs of brides getting ready (if requested) at home or in their hotel room, maybe having make-up applied, nails manicured or their hair done. I make best use of mirrors and natural light in rooms. I also like to show the subtle details that have been so carefully planned specifically for the day such as tiaras, perfume bottles, shoes, jewellery, flowers, button holes etc.

………………………..
I usually arrange to photograph the groom and groomsmen during the hour before the ceremony (if time allows) and this often includes introducing a little humour if they are up to it. As well as traditional shots (if requested) I might get them doing some star jumps, Moody, Anxious, looking serious… whatever it takes just to break the ice and add something extra. Without holding up proceedings, if I get chance to photograph the bride (perhaps with her father) on arrival at the church or ceremony venue and with her bridesmaids I’ll also do that …..
We ensure that we capture all aspects of the day, including the bride’s dress details, the cars, musicians, entertainment ….. everything that you’ve put so much planning and preparation into ……………
It doesn’t have to be a bright sunny day for a good photographer to get some nice shots. Whatever the weather, we’ll make the best of it. We often bring along portable lighting equipment so that if the weather is really bad we can still make the best of it indoors. Meanwhile, moody and dark Skies and a little sunshine after the rain can look great ….
…………………………..
We’re used to photographing weddings at many venues, both large and small, across Warwickshire and the Midlands, some venues are much further afield! Here are a few of the venues I’ve attended (and photographed weddings at) in the last few months ……
……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
I always take the time to sit down with my brides and grooms before the wedding to thoroughly discuss the group shots that they would like. We usually do a pre-wedding photo shoot to get them used to being in-front of the camera and to feel a little more comfortable. I think it pays dividends on the big day itself …..
……………………………………………………………………………….
And lets not forget the special little people that are often on show and, apart from the bride, they soon add even more joy and become the centre of attention!
…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
Sometimes it’s nice to take advantage of the amateur photographers who are present at every wedding!
………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
It’s great to capture the emotions, laughter and silly moments that make the day so memorable, as well as making use of some props …..
Then, of course, there’s the evening entertainment and the dancing …..
Now for some examples from my Pre-wedding photo shoots
I do pre-wedding photo shoots as standard for all couples who book me for an album package or a digital package. The idea is to meet with the future bride and groom, usually a few weeks before the wedding day and often at one or more of the wedding venues to discuss the group shots that they’d like but also to get them used to being in-front of the camera. I find that even if they are self-conscious at first it takes only a few minutes to get used to it and to start enjoying themselves. You’ll recognise these people in some of the wedding day photos above ……
Examples from my Children and Family Photo shoots coming up ……
I tend to do two things. Either I bring my backdrops and lighting equipment to your home and spend an hour (plus) doing fun photos of your family and children (high key is still very popular, as shown here) or I will arrange to meet with you in a location of your choice. it may be your back garden or a local park, hotel grounds etc.
Here’s a mixture of recent Children’s photography that I’ve done in the Coventry and Warwickshire area …..
I’m also very happy to take photographs for people for their websites or business profiles – sometimes people want serious photos and sometimes a little light hearted. Either way, I can accomodate ….
I occasionally have a bit of fun by creating digital ‘fantasy’ backgrounds instead of the white. These teenagers were actually standing in-front of a white backdrop in their living room! The graffiti walls, for example, only exist in my imagination!
…. I often work along-side my husband, Gary, who takes many photos at a lot of weddings and other large events. He took this photo of me and our daughter …….
Now for a small mixture of images from my corporate and event photography
I am willing to undertake all sorts of corporate and event work ranging from covering products shots for websites, marketing materials or publications to product launches, team building exercises to school prom nights, anniversaries, birthday parties and charity or fund raising events. Here are a few examples, in no particular order ….
This image was used by the Coventry Telegraph as part of their press coverage
Stuart Kettell, who is not only a nice guy but every year he does loads of things to raise money for MacMillan Cancer Support. In 2009 he Kayaked across the Channel to raise money. He doesn’t even like water! The Mad fool!!
……………………………………………………………………………………….
Earlier in 2009 Stuart ran a Bavarian charity evening to raise more money. He asked me to do the photography. Using my event printer I was able to sell instant prints there and then to help to raise money. The small montage here includes a few of my shots.

Not all corporate photography has to be serious! This was part of my coverage of the Ragley hall Fireworks display in November. This fire eater was also there …. and what a display he put on!
I only use top-end professional Canon cameras. One of the things that my camera equipment is renowned for is it’s ability to photograph detail in low light (which many cameras struggle with) and it’s ability to reproduce colours brilliantly. Hopefully, you’ll agree that these prove the point ….
I’m always aware that it’s important to take the less obvious photographs at any event (often those that capture the little things that made a difference) – like this one showing some of the wonderful sweets on sale at the Ragley Hall Pick and Mix kiosk on Bonfire night.
…..or the children’s entertainment and activities ….
I got absolutely soaked photographing this next one! Everyone had great fun though! It was a team building exercise for members of the fire service held at the Heart of England Country club ……
……………………………………………………………………………………….
I must admit, my equipment needed a lot of cleaning afterwards, and I did a wedding the next day!
Good job I have back-ups!

Love Food? Or Soup to be more accurate? These are just a few photographs that I did for a client who is writing a book on cooking a fantastic range of soups in aid of the NSPCC. The photos included setting the scene, growing the natural produce, preparation, cooking and presentation of the soups. Hopefully the photographs will be published in the book very soon…..
Just to whet your appetite or in this case literally ‘wet’ your appetite!
And on the subject of being healthy …… this client, a professional fitness coach, wanted some shots to promote her body sculpting regime …
I thought I was quite trim until I did these shots! The corporate photography work that I’ve recently been asked to do in Warwickshire and the Midlands is wide and varied. The range includes photo shoots for solicitors for their website, building and structure photography records for architects, product shots for a very skilled medical instrument manufacturer, website and marketing images for clothing retailer, website and general marketing photographs for a soft home furnishings designer and manufacturer, a range of images for a competition devised by a traders association and website images for a children’s soft toys retailer. I’ve also covered many birthday parties, anniversaries and other special family get-togethers.
